Solution

Given
In this question, we are given that
    • An exam score increased from 1250 to 1600

To find
We need to determine
    • By what percent did the score increase

Approach and Working out

    • Percent Increase = (Increase/Original) × 100
      o Increase = 1600 – 1250 = 350
      o Original = 1250
         Percent Increase = (350/1250) × 100
         28%

Thus, option D is the correct answer.

Correct Answer: Option D

An exam score increased from 1250 to 1600. By what percent did the score increase?

A. 22%

B. 24%

C. 26%

D. 28%

E. 30%
Solution:

The percent increase is:

(New - Old)/Old x 100

(1600 - 1250)/1250 x 100

350/1250 x 100
