I've been a sports fanatic since my childhood and have even worked for the last 2 years with a sports management company and have been managing few world renowned sportstars on most digital and social platforms.
Now that I want to take the next step in my career, I want to know whether I should take up the normal 2-yr MBA and try my future goals in my essay and take that up or should I go for a Sports Management Degree degree?
I want to do a full-time degree with hands on experience learning with the best people around. I am open to all career options at the moment but ofcourse my first preference would be Sports Teams/Players/Management.
Is there anyone who has experienced this earlier or has any information of the Best colleges to apply or basically anything that could probably clear my confusion? If so, please step forward and help me out.
Thanks in Advance.
blackstripsDepending on what you want to do, an MBA with somewhat of a focus on sports business management would be a great angle. What is your ideal job after you graduate?
While the MBA would not teach you all of the nitty gritty details of sports that a particular sports management degree would, it can help you get a great job in the industry. I studied some sports when I was at Wharton and I am working with clients now who are interested in the exact same thing and they are going for an MBA. There are a few programs that you should look at and some decent career placement. (i.e. operations / strategy at a sports team) Look at Wharton, UCLA Anderson, USC Marshall and NYU Stern to start things off. Of course the best fit will depend on your background, college, GPA, GMAT etc.
If you want to discuss further or would like help with your application, I'm pretty familiar with the landscape and can help you get into some great schools. Send me a note:
