Agreed. Maybe his was a special case because last year it looks like they all went out at the same time and at least ten people posted on the forum minutes after receiving the email.

Looks like the one release was a mistake/special case. No way this many early interviewers got rejected/WL. I think everyone can relax.

Anyway, for the screenshots some eople posted last year it seems that they did not require to send the documentation package.
I think that would be another factor to consider while looking for patterns. In any case, I do not think that early interviews not hearing from Anderson before the break would necessarily be WL/dinged. Plus last year there were some cases who were interviewed early november and got an admission on the deadline.
But I agree it seems like a special case.
I haven't heard a word either.

haha, I'm completely talking out of my ass, but I hope I'm right too. Based on last year, it looks like UCLA accepted a vast majority of Round 1 people who interviewed...much higher than the 50-60% common at other schools, I think most of us will get in.

This is frustrating because I'm praying for an acceptance so I can relax and actually get in the holiday spirit...being anxious doesn't help.

Ya I feel you, I took this week off of work to finish my R2 applications, but I haven't been able to focus knowing a decision might come out today for UCLA.

Hi everyone, just wanted to reiterate that it wasn't a prank (at least I hope not) but I do think it may be a special case. The email/letter I received is from the 'graduate division' of UCLA and says that it is in addition to the letter I received directly from Anderson (but I haven't received anything from Anderson yet). I was assuming a bunch of people on the forum had received the same thing, but now I'm starting to wonder if maybe it was an automated error that was sent out preemptively.

Okay, now this is getting strange. I just followed the instructions to log back in to see my acceptance letter and got the following message:

"You should soon be receiving a response directly from your major program regarding a decision on your application."

Luckily I saved a copy of the letter on my desktop. Here's to hoping they don't rescind my offer :)
