R(t+40)=360 .... eq. 1
2Rt=480.... eq 2
Rt=240... eq 3

Substitute 3 in 1
R=3
Rate from grocery to gym is twice home to grocery
Hence; 2R= 6

\(D (Grocery-Gym)/ D (Home-Gym)=480/360=4/3\)
\(4/3=Speed (Grocery-Gym) * Time(Grocery-Gym)/Speed(Home-Gym)* Time(Home-Gym)\)
\(4/3=2*(t-40)/t\)
t=120
t-40=80
Speed (Grocery-Gym)=\(480/80\)
=6

Let us assume the speed as V from home to grocery. => Speed 2V from Grocery to Gym.
Let us assume the time from Home to Grocery as T. => Time T-40 from Grocery to Gym.

=> V= 360/t & 2V = 480/(t-40)

Solving we get T=120.

=> 2V = 6.

Letting r = Angelina’s normal speed, we can create the equation for the time:

360/r = 480/(2r) + 40

360/r = 240/r + 40

120/r = 40

120 = 40r

3 = r

Since her speed from the grocery to the gym was 2r, her speed was 6 m/sec..

Answer: D
