Hi all, looking to apply to the UT mccombs weekend mba program in Dallas this week. Recently secured the general test waiver approval.

GMAT Focus score - 645 (99% Verbal, 94% DI, 46% quant BIG OOF)

Professional experience: 3 years as a software engineer at non-FAANG.

Education: 3.53 GPA at a small liberal arts college, degree in computer science

I know the weekend program has lower average scores then the full time program, but to my knowledge the class profiles are not updated with the focus scores. According to some of the online scaling calculators/charts, my score comes out to be around 700 for classic gmat. Any advice appreciated, thanks.
Hi woozytulip,

Your profile shows solid strengths, especially with 3 years of software engineering experience and a strong academic record. 645 is a decent score, however with excellent verbal and data interpretation score - there is a good scope to improve your overall score if you can work a bit on the Quant section. If possible, I’d encourage you to retake the GMAT.

Feel free to book a free call with our MBA experts for a more detailed discussion. You can also contact us directly at team.mba@theredpen.com or +91-7780769732.

Hello woozytulip,

Since you do not have time to retake, you should proceed with your existing score.

All the best!
