I'm about to prepare for the GMAT, and will be writing applications this spring, and are curious about what I can expect. This will serve to align my expectations, and possibly motivate me to do even better on the GMAT. My details, at time of application (in 1 year):
Demographic: 28, Scandinavian, Male
GMAT Score: est. 660-700
Education:
BSc in Maritime Administration (2018) 3.47/4.0
MSc in Finance and Accounting: (2020) 2.85/4.0
Work-Ex:
Currently working as Senior Consultant/Senior Associate (Financial Crime/Forensics) at PwC (2020 - Present: 1 year, will have 3 years of experience before joining Business School). Very high performer, and was promoted from Associate to Senior Associate in one year, where the normal is 2-3 years.
Worked part time at Maersk Line, for two years (2017-2019)
Interned at Maersk Line, PMO/M&A (For 8 months in 2017/18)
Worked part time at Nordea (major Scandinavian bank) (for 4 months 2016)
Worked part time as a bookkeeper at a small firm (for 8 months 2016)
I focused more at gaining work experience, than improving my GPA, since this was crucial in landing a fulltime job after graduation.
