Hi,

Would practising questions from gmatclub by category and using og enough to improve the weak areas.
How to approach this??

Hi,

Doing all the questions for quant for your weak areas from these tests can be quite helpful. If you are very clear on which topics are your weak areas then you can initially make topic wise tests and then hop onto full sectional tests later. Here is a post by BB which mentions how to best use these tests- how-to-use-gmat-club-tests-220802.html

You can also use Bunuel's master collection which is right here - all-you-need-for-quant-140445.html

Otherwise, if you think that you need a lot of improvement/guidance on quant, you may sign up for any online/direct tutor which may be helpful to you in your area. You can read up reviews(only genuine ones) here and also on Beat the GMAT and choose which ones are a good fit for you.

Hope it makes things clearer for you.

Thanks!

Hi Kreel11,

For those topics in which you know you are weak, you may consider first going back to ensure that you have fully learned the various components of each; reread your prep materials, look over notes or flashcards, etc. Once you have sufficiently filled in your knowledge gaps, begin a regimen of focused practice.

For example, if you are reviewing Word Translations, start by reviewing your notes or flashcards from that topic. After that, be sure that you can practice 50 or more questions just from Word Translations: age problems, profit problems, variable word problems, DS word problems, mixtures, etc. Based on the results, you can find and fix your weak areas. Only then should you move on to the next quant topic.

If you find that when you go back to your notes or prep materials you are not able to fully learn these topics, then you may consider some new prep resources.

If you would like further quant practice, I welcome you to take my free 37-question quant diagnostic. After completing the diagnostic, you will be provided with a detailed analysis of your proficiency level in GMAT quant topics and an opportunity to discuss your diagnostic results with me or another TTP instructor/coach.

Feel free to reach out with any further questions.

Hi kreel11,

To improve quant, we recommend examining multiple variations off of the same core question type so you are prepared when the same kind of question is asked in a slightly different way.

If you are looking for more diversity in practice tests, we recommend that you try the GMAT Pill Practice Test here: https://www.gmatpill.com/gmat-practice-test/

For CR, we recommend a visual framework approach to help you understand the complex short passages and how each item relates to each other.

Here is a video describing the visual framework approach: https://www.gmatpill.com/criticalreasoni ... Estate.mp4

Best of luck on your studies!

Hi ,

Thanks for the advice. So just to clarify should the practice in weak areas be timed or one should take time to attempt questions properly.
Also should these questions be from the OG which O have already covered or from other sources??
