Pros and Cons of waiving your right to see your MBA Recommendation Letters

Enrolled students have access to educational records pertaining to them under the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) of 1974. Students may also waive (to not use) their right to access the concerned recommendation letters.

If you waive this privilege, you acknowledge that you will not have accessibility to this specific item in your file. The majority of people – the recommenders – feel more at ease knowing they can provide an accurate judgment that will not be examined by the recipient of the recommendation letters..MBA Recommendation Letters

MBA Ding Analysis

When you’re applying for an MBA program, it can be hard to know what really makes the difference between a ding and an admit. Is it your GMAT score? Your essays? The strength of your recommendations? How about the school you went to? Or the company you work for? It’s never just one thing. But if understanding how decisions are made is part of your strategy for getting into business school, then you need to know that—believe it or not—there are patterns behind those decisions. And better yet, those patterns are discoverable. Most people who apply to business school think they’re not in control of their admissions destiny. They think they have to take whatever comes their way and accept “no” if they get it. But this idea is extremely flawed..MBA Ding Analysis

Production and Operations Management

You’ve probably heard the term “operations management” thrown around, but what is it?
Operations management is the backbone of any business. It’s the way that companies are able to keep up with supply and demand, and it’s what leads to a business’s overall success. It’s easy to see why operations management is so important, but what exactly is it? Operations management is essentially the process of planning, coordinating, and monitoring all aspects of production in a company. It involves everything from design and manufacturing to distribution. Operations managers are responsible for making sure that all of these processes are completed efficiently and without error. They analyze data and make adjustments as needed in order to ensure that everything runs smoothly. Operations managers can work within various industries such as healthcare, government agencies, or even small businesses..Production and Operations Management

What does a Product Manager do?

Product management roles are hot these days – most MBA graduates with technology backgrounds (and many without!) are looking at them. This article goes into what a product manager does and what the role is all about. A product manager is a unique role in a (usual tech) organization that can be difficult to define in a succinct sentence. The best way I have heard it described is as ‘the CEO of your product’. It’s a high-level role whose responsibility is to drive a vision for an entire product or service, from inception through launch and beyond. Product managers come from various backgrounds; they may have engineering or design experience, or they may be business-oriented individuals who understand how products fit into their company’s broader strategy. Some companies even hire MBA students fresh out of school to take on these roles..What does a Product Manager do?

MBA During Recession – Pros and Cons

Whether or not to get an MBA during a recession is one that every prospective student should ask themselves. A recession is usually a short-term phenomenon. You should plan your career long-term when thinking of an MBA. The economy has been in the doldrums for several years now, but this doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t go for an MBA. Rather than being afraid of getting into debt, consider it an investment in yourself and your future. If you’re going to be in debt anyway, you might as well invest in something that will pay off over time and give you more opportunities for jobs and career advancement..MBA admissions
