Hi all -- I need some guidance as I start to prepare for Business School. I am concerned that my low GPA (2.91) may be too low to even compete at top 15 programs. My background is as follows:
W/E: 5 years in acquisitions & asset/portfolio management at Private Equity Real Estate firm ($70 BN AUM)
School: Big 10 Public School
Major: Economics & Business Administration and Management
GPA: 2.914
GMAT: Haven't taken exam yet but have consistently scored in low 700 range
Background: 28M, Indian
Not sure exactly what I want to do after Business School, but would ideally want to join a PE firm or join a larger REPE firm (i.e., Starwood, Carlyle, BX, Oaktree, etc.)
Schools I am interested in: Kellogg, Stern, Fuqua, Haas, Johnson, Anderson, Marshall.
Any suggestions on how I can improve my candidacy and any additional schools I should look into that have a strong network of RE professionals? I have debated taking the CFA, but don't believe it would really move the needle much.
Thanks!
