I am a very young candidate (with 1 year of experience at application, 2 years at admission). I am applying to top schools Wharton, Harvard, Chicago etc.

My question revolves around resume construction. Some of the schools note to include a resume of up to 2 pages. I work in consulting and have been on over 7 different projects + lots of community service in both college/work.

Does it make sense to do a 2page resume with work on first page and community service on 2nd or are 2page resumes generally reserved for longer work experience candidates?

i think you should stick to a page. your community service/college activities will be included in separate questions anyway, so no need to duplicate it in the resume. i work in consulting too, and just put the projects ive had the most impact on.

Well, I think you've gotta understand the difference between CV and resume. Pay attention to what schools ask for--some need a Curriculum Vitae OR resume, and some strictly ask for a CV, others--for your most recent resume. It is true that many schools leave it up to you what to submit and are comfortable with either one, so you need to use this strategically.

If you're unclear about the distinction between these two types of professional biography, simply google the two and lots of things will be a bit clearer.

With your experience level you have no reason to give them more than a one-page resume, even if you're a super-accomplished person. Stick to one page.
