Hi Alex,
In my 3 year bachelor degree I performed very poorly in the first 2 years to score around 55%, especially maths was as low as 35%, however in the third year I dedicated extra hours and managed to score 70% thus pushing my overall aggregate to first class ~65%. I have 2 questions
1) Should I explain my lower grades in the first 2 years in the optional essay despite my aggregate being first class
2) Though my maths was poor initially, I perfomed excellent in financial accounts in the thrid year to score 90% to sow my comfort with numbers, also as a further proof in my GMAT I scored 50/51 around 94%. Again, should I explain my lower score in math in the first year of my B.Com degree?
Is it required to draw any attention on these 2 aspects in my optional essay even though the adcoms will understand all this just by looking at my transcripts. Regards, Sid
