Hi everyone,
I was recently admitted into my top choice deferred admission program, and as someone who is very concerned about anything going wrong from this point, I had a question regarding the background check. Here's the issue: As a deferred student, I had yet to begin my job that I wrote on my resume, and not thinking the "job title" question was crucial, wrote from memory my job title. Well it turns out that after reviewing me application, I realized I made a slight mistake. I wrote that I was a "Healthcare Consultant" when in reality my title is "Healthcare Associate". I have been informed that some concerns may be brought as sometimes consultant denotes a higher role than associate, but this is not the case at my company (consultant isnt an official job title). I realized earlier today that I did list the correct job title on the resume that I sent in with my application, however, which I hope gives me some credibility that I haven't tried to be duplicitous in any way. Should I be concerned at this discrepancy? Should I contact adcom immediately and let them know I made an error? Is there a reasonable chance that this will be a serious negative problem for me?
Thank you
