Hi,

I'm looking to apply to B-schools in Asia and USA for next Fall's entry. Are there any good admission consultants in India, who specialize in Asian b-schools?I have heard good things about MBA Dream, but it seems they specialize in US B-schools.My 1st choice is HKU and INSEAD Singapore.Any admission consultants in India who provide guidance with these? Also, with a Master's in Economics and 3 years of experience as an economic analyst and manager,I don't fall in the "typical" category of IT engineers.Hence,I'm looking for a consultant who can understand my background, and help me tailor my applications to b-schools based on my background and goals.

Shall be grateful if anyone could suggest some good consultants.

Hello good sir!
Well we work with loots of folks who apply to Asian and European schools... NUS, NTU, INSEAD, HKUST, IBS, etc. etc.

Just drop us a line, and we'll hook you up: https://bit.ly/mbafcGC

Best,

Hi,

We have good experience with European b schools as well. Check out our website at https://www.mbaadmissions.augustacademy.in for more information about our results and testimonials.

In 2015, our students have received admits from MIT Sloan, Michigan Ross, UCLA Anderson, CMU Tepper, Emory and Olin. Our students have received scholarships worth more than US $200,000, just in 2015. In 2014 we had admits from HEC, ESADE and IE. And in 2014, we also had interviews from LBS, INSEAD and Oxford.

Cheers,
Karthik

Hi Naren,

Many thanks for your response!

Yes.I have also heard about MBA Crystal Ball, and it seems they have more experience than MBA Dream when it comes to non-US schools.

It comes down to MBA Crystal Ball and MBA Dream now.Do you know any students who have used their services?

Thanks.

I already have an MBA from an Indian school and a 5 year post MBA work-ex.
I intend to apply to B-schools in US/Europe to get a global perspective and switch industry/function.

Can someone suggest a suitable Admissions consultant who has experience with counselling MBA degree holders?

Thanks!

I took help from Experts global services based in Delhi. I wrote a review in a different thread and I am posting my experience here as well so that it may be helpful to others.

Hi,

I have benefited much from the Gmat club through the tread discussions and GMAT club tests . I also found my admission consultant through Gmat club. I also thought that I should share my story so that I was in the same place searching for admissions consultants last year. I would give my genuine experience. I have taken both GMAT Guidance (after my 2 attempts with 2 prominent prep) in my third attempt and Admission consulting as well with Experts Global (https://www.expertsglobal.com/). Here is my story.

GMAT Guidance Program:
I had given GMAT twice (October 2103 and July 2014) and scored 670 on both attempts. I was targeting above 700 and was very much shaken by my score. I had gone through few reviews of Experts Global services and contacted Mr. Mayank and had a counselling with him. He immediately agreed to help me give another shot within 31 days; in fact, on knowing that I had spent a lot already with other test prep companies, I was given a free GMAT course. The course material was tailored to my requirement with personal attention. I would get a detailed weekly schedule to follow every day. There were detailed doubt solving sessions. The material and practice tests provided by them were exhaustive and I didn't get a need to refer to any other course material. Whenever I wanted something extra on a particular topic they always provided me with extra questions and guidance. So with their help I gave my GMAT once again on Aug 2014 and scored 720.

Admission Consulting:
I would say Experts Global’s is an end to end consulting right from B School selection to Visa interview. Experts Global services didn't manipulate your story. They had detailed counselling sessions and conducted serious due diligence in building a story for applications.

They guided me in choosing the Business schools depending on my Goals, scholarship requirement and location. I found their guidance very helpful in choosing the schools to apply. My mentor for the MBA Admission consulting was Mr.Shailesh Otari. I had many consulting sessions with him regarding the school selection and essays for each school I want to apply. Interaction with him helped me bring out the latent aspects of myself and present me as a potential candidate to the admission committee. I had multiple reviews for essays for each school. One best thing I found out with Experts global services was that they don't limit you on the number of reviews unlike other admission consultants. Mr. Shailesh helped me on war footing as I had very less time and I wanted to apply in 1st round to get a good scholarship.

I was assigned another member Ms Aanchal to help me with interview preparation together with Mr Shailesh and I had detailed mock admission interviews with them. They suggested on the points which I should improve such as tone and expression. I had mock interviews multiple times for each school with different set of questions. This gave me a lot of confidence in actual interviews. Mr. Shailesh even introduced me to some of the present students and alumni of the B-schools when required to Know better about the school.

The results were out and I had admissions from multiple schools with scholarship. Some of my admissions are
1. Krannert school of Management, Purdue university ,with GA (85% scholarship)
2.Boston University MS-MBA (70% scholarship)
3.Illinois MBA (60% scholarship)
4.Tippie school of Business ,IOWA (100% scholarship).

Mr. Shailesh even helped me with my Visa interview as well. I would say I got best from Expert Global services and would recommend it to anyone who seriously aspires for MBA from a top B school.

All the best to the future MBA applicants.

I don't think you should necessarily limit yourself to admissions consultants based in India. Especially if you want to consider schools in the United States. I've worked with many applicants in India and we often use Skype for our working sessions so it's like we are in the same room. Plus, I think that a US based consultant might have a better take on what is going on with local schools. If you were applying to primarily Indian business schools, then I think I would get an Indian consultant for the same reason.

Hi,

From my personal experience, Rahul from MBADream is the best consultant one can ask for.

I wanted to apply to B Schools for a FTMBA program and was exploring professional consultants online immediately after my GRE. During this process, fortuitously I also talked to one of my seniors on whether I should work with a consultant or not. And he suggested that I talk to Rahul. Right from the very first conversation I found Rahul to be a very motivating person. I had had my doubts on whether GRE was the right exam to apply for an MBA and whether I should write GMAT instead. Rahul reassured me that the GRE was the right exam and I had scored well enough to receive an admit along with a very generous scholarship from many schools. I had been very wayward in terms of school selection also, to which Rahul came to the rescue and made me apply in schools that I had a fair chance of getting what I was looking for. Once I had started with the process he made me brainstorm myself for framing a story on which I could write good application essays. Rahul had very wisely made me apply in schools that he considered will offer me a decent scholarship along with other benefits such as STEM designation. After getting an interview call in some of them Rahul also held mock interviews and made me feel ready for the interviews. Rahul is a very frank, very intelligent and dedicated guide. His readiness to talk to me and guide me any time of the day was very comforting. Rice was one of the first schools I applied at and it was largely due to the invaluable guidance that Rahul offered me that I finally received an admit from Rice FTMBA and that too with a very good amount of scholarship. I strongly recommend Rahul to anyone who is either planning on applying for an MBA program at world’s best B Schools.

Sharing my personal experience working with Rahul from MBA dream. I got admitted to Rice with a $$ scholarship.

When I started researching the business school admission process, I got overwhelmed and quickly realized that I will be on a lonely and tiresome road without the guidance of an expert. This is when I came across Rahul who comes highly recommended by GMATclub. I did my background checks and approached him with a little bit of skepticism because until then all my conversations with other potential consultants haven't been so great. After my very first conversation with Rahul, I immediately decided that I am going to go with this guy. His passion and energy were infectious and I went with my gut feeling. I didn't regret this decision even once since then.

As the process progressed, I realized that the role of an admissions consultant has an overlap with that of a therapist, and I feel Rahul would definitely make one heck of a therapist too. Rahul has been a pillar of strength to me in this journey and has continuously supported me in the process. Another thing that you would want in your admissions consultant is that he/she should have your best interests during the entire process and this was the case with Rahul. He always suggested the best possible solution from my perspective even though this 'solution' would have demanded extra man-hours from his side. He is ready to take your calls late in the night and would never make you feel guilty for calling at those hours. He is passionate about helping people to build their dream careers and to get into the business schools of their choice and he is always there for you to give you that extra nudge when you are feeling down.

I would highly recommend his services to whoever is looking for guidance with the business school application process.

Hi, My name is Ashish Khanna. I understand the pain and struggle of going through finding the right MBA admissions consultant who can help you sail through the turbulence of the b-school applications. I went through the same struggle while applying for B-schools in 2019. The struggle is then added with exorbitant prices and charges that the different MBA admissions consulting services cost the applicant.

I eventually understood it is not worth the money and effort to hire an MBA consultant. I ended up applying to b-schools and writing my own applications. To build some credibility here- I applied to IESE, INSEAD, LBS, Cambridge, and Oxford with a GMAT score of 690 and got an interview call from all the colleges and ended up doing my MBA from Cambridge (which was worth every penny). With a sub-standard GMAT score, every one in the MBA consulting space asked me to write the exam again and mentioned that my chances of even getting an interview call are very slim but I knew GMAT score is just one part of the application and I packed a good application all together and I applied anyways and the rest is history.

Now, I am writing this message for people who are looking for help in their MBA application journey and who don't want to splash a lot of money. I believe if I was able to do write my MBA application and get calls for A-list b-school, then I can help others too. One of the key aspects while choosing a consultant is compatibility with the admission's consultant and if interested to know more, no need of an email or filling a form, just WA me on +919742696849 and we can take it from there :)
