Hi there!
I am an Indian applicant, GEM with an undergrad degree in Engineering (Electrical & Electronics; CGPA: 6.82).
My GMAT scores are as follows:
1. Attempt 1 - 670 (V35Q47)
2. Attempt 2 - 690 (V34Q49)
I have ~5 years of experience working with startups. My experience spans Software Development, Project Management, Customer Success and Sales (my current role). What B-schools should I apply to with a realistic chance of admission?
Hello
rohansinha123,
As an Indian male with an engineering background, you come from a competitive applicant pool. That said, differentiating yourself with a strong GMAT score will be very important.
If you want to secure admission to one of the top 20 US business schools, breaking into the 700s range on your GMAT will be key. Our average candidate now sits for the exam 2 to 4 times (with some giving the test as many as 6 or 7 attempts.)
Of course, there are other ways to differentiate yourself as well, such as developing unique essays and articulating strong post-MBA goals. Take a look at
Personal MBA Coach's services if you are looking for guidance throughout the application process. We help a lot of Indian applicants secure acceptances at top b-schools each year!
