The top mgmt consulting problems also will be the top ranked MBA programs so think the Kellogg's, Wharton's, Booth's, and Harvard's of the world. So keep this in mind as you target your programs because you will need to be a top candidate to secure admission to the aforementioned programs.

Hi there - well I'm biased because I'm an alum, but Kellogg consistently places a HUGE percentage of the class at the top 3 consulting firms (I believe McKinsey is often one of the largest hiring firms at Kellogg). All of the top 10 schools will have recruitment from consulting firms; but one indication of the "focus" and "opportunities" that the school provides in this area would be to look at the pie chart of industries that folks go into after graduation. When there are more graduates going into consulting, that's a directional indication of how focused the school is on that space. At Kellogg, the consulting club is extremely active and the top firms are always on campus presenting, hosting events, etc. The same is true of the other top schools to varying degrees.
