my quant score is 40 and has to go to 48 within 4 weeks. Can anyone recommend a good class?

Try gmat club tests. Many has improve their Quant just by using it

Are gmat club tests good to increase the quant score by 8 points or only for high scorers?

It's hard to be that precise. Any good source will have the concepts you need and questions across a range of difficulty levels. Maybe you could consider working with a tutor if you're looking for something very specific.

Work on the basics first from MGMAT guide, then u can go for GMAT club tests.
