Veritas GMAT CATs

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by membership [?]

I bought the Veritas Prep Test series as a part of my preparation for GMAT. My experience has been really good but I would want to highlight the big boon and a few misses.
I enjoyed a lot the Veritas Prep. I saw a deal posted somewhere and felt the cost was worth a try.

The questions simulate very well the overall GMAT experience. In my opinion, the questions were less difficult than the Manhattan test, and all my scores on Veritas were 10 to 30 points higher then my final GMAT score.

The system is good, works as you would expect.
Positives:
- Unlike MGM, Veritas has moderate level Math questions, this actually helps you retain the level of confidence that you ll end up having in the actual test.
- The question bank is broader than other test platforms. This means that your scores don't get affected by non-availability of questions in the question bank, leading to you scoring extravagantly high.

Negatives:
the test interface is not the best in class. The answer descriptions are small and ambiguous at times. Having said these things, I believe they are not a deal breaker.

test center review

The mumbai test centre is easy to find and close to the churchgate station. The staff is polite and that is always a good thing. The internal temperature was neither too cold nor too hot (for a change !) . The only thing you need to take care of is to double check the pens since a few of them are dried up and can stop abruptly midway through the test.
. The staff is courteous, and the place is not very difficult to find. The exam center is very quiet. During the exam, I experienced no issues and everything went flawlessly. No outside noise, very peaceful place, nice restroom facilities to freshen up. Good locker facilities
The scratch pads are a bit worn out but the staff makes up for it by not expecting you to erase anything. They simply provide you a new one each time you finish one. I would definitely recommend this testing centre .
Notes
They have a water cooler so you might not want to carry a bottle.
You can carry a pull over inside the testing area.
Around 13 people can give the exam simultaneously

nice place, near by metro station is green park. There were a lot of landmarks given so it was easy to locate.
Test Area: is quiet but I felt that the AC was a little too cold for me. Usually I have the AC dialed in at 23F at home The test center was more like 18F. So make sure you come dressed in layers.

The Gmat Club tests are a must have if you are aiming for a 700+ score, most reliable tests, have been using these tests where i used to score Quant 42 and verbal 25-27.These questions are not only great in number but also in terms of variety and standard. Also, explanation is concise , clear and to the point. I found the filter of question difficulty level divided into 500, 600 and 700, as one of the best features.I would highly recommend the gmat club tests to all those who are struggling to get their scores up in quant as these are probably the best resource that you could lay your hands on.

Course Manhattan Prep GMAT MGMAT Self-Study Toolkit

If you want to score a 700+, look no further. Going through the well explained Manhattan GMAT guides and watching Thursdays with Ron alone will help you score that 700+.
My verbal did not improve from my diagnostic exam. (I am a native speaker). In my diagnostic exam I got a 41V but on test day I got a 37V. I am not sure why this is as I have scored at least a 38V or higher on all of my practice tests. I do wish that the MGMAT verbal guides had multiple choice questions in the back (to simulate test questions) instead of the short answer questions that they currently have.
For Quant, the books are good to clarify concepts and lay down fundaments but I felt overall the quant tests from MGMAT are a bit more tedious than the actual GMAT which has slightly more witty questions which can make the real GMAT challenging. Along with this I would suggest to use the gmatclub Quant practise tests which are extremely representative. I suggest to focus on verbal for MGMAT and gmatclub tests for Quant.

my friend introduced me to e-GMAT and I cannot thank him enough for having done that. After a year long break, I felt the need to go over SC and CR concepts as well and the videos provided by e-GMAT made them a whole lot of fun. I would stay up till late night, watching the videos, almost like I'd be watching a sitcom. They were light and helped me brush up my concepts very well. I had read someone's review about making handwritten notes while watching videos and then transferring those onto Evernote at the end of each day as that would not only help you revise, but also create a handy notebook for you to skim through while you're on the move. This tip helped me a lot and I would really recommend it to you all as well. I made my notes nice and colourful and added screenshots and links to them. Going over them later seemed fun because of all the colur I had added. (let me know if you want me to share them with you!)
What really made a difference to me was, however, the Master Comprehension. It really helped me nail the problem. My comprehension of a question was totally dependent on my mood. Master Comprehension really helped me with the right way of comprehending sentences and pausing at the right places, thereby improving my overall comprehension substantially.

The exams provided great basis. I highly recommend purchasing the tests and going through all questions in a timed environment. I used the test to help my exam, and currently I have improved my score from a 500 - 700 +. If you consistently use the software and book you will improve. highly recommend.
MGMAT CATs have questions of a higher level of difficulty when compared to the ones of other CATs available online for practice . I would strongly recommend to take CATs offered by others like veritas, gmat club to get a better understanding of where one stands.
Overall, Manhattan´s CATs are, have challenging questions and great explanations.
