I have not officially decided to apply but one of my fellow managers went to Michigan and has almost convinced me to apply. From everything I have read they have pretty decent placement in IB. Not sure how good they are for real estate IB though. 710 GMAT 3.6 GPA blah, blah, blah...we are all great in our own ways. Just went to a Michigan event yesterday. They had two professors and a whole bunch of impressive alumni. There was no one from the admissions committee. I guess they are all busy reading applications. They kept stressing on MAP as the cornerstone of the Ross program. Overall was a pretty informal event and no formal presentations. I believe no interview decisions have been released for Singapore. So keeping fingers crossed.

Had an opportunity to work on MAP with Ross students and also asked several questions during the interview. The project is really interesting - students are supported by professors and while applying their knowledge they always have guidance from school to learn more within the project. Companies are chosen by the students themselves - thus, if you are a leader you could deal with one of the companies you know or you think you can convince in sponsoring MAP and make your best to promote your project.

I dont think they take that much time after an interview to make a decision. I remember that last year, a guy was WL without an interview and was later interviewed and admitted within a week.

Having said that, I am losing hope...

Some totally boring Wednesday afternoon to kill analysis:

Last year from admissions411.com:

Total of 53 interviewed in R1, of which 23 interviewed after 12/05 and 24 before. 6 unknown dates, so I would say we are coming up to the 50% point. Having said that, majority of the interviews were completed before 12/20, so that means we have a 2-3 weeks before we can kind of give up hope (and 2-3 more weeks of F5's).

Also of the 53 who interviewed, there were 34 admits and 6 WL's (so, all you guys who have an invite- keep up the hopes

). In R2, 55 interviewed and 39 admits with 4 WL's. So...again..an interview seems to bode well.

Another trend, atleast in R1. Higher GMAT Scores and Indians seem to get the interviews later. Of the 10-11 Indians in R1, most of them interviewed after Thanksgiving and in December. So...we still have hope...having said that, I think the high GMAT and Indians kind of are corelated.

Anyways----back to refreshing my stupid gmail.
