I have not officially decided to apply but one of my fellow managers went to Michigan and has almost convinced me to apply. From everything I have read they have pretty decent placement in IB. Not sure how good they are for real estate IB though. 710 GMAT 3.6 GPA blah, blah, blah...we are all great in our own ways. Follow the instructions and stick to 11 ft. After all, the ad-com will be ultimately reading your app after submission. Not you. If you want to make peace with your aesthetic side, make all your personal copies in 10-ft Verdana. :wink:

Another question on Font type/size.

I accept it. I hate Times New Roman and love Verdana. I realized i have written all my essays in Verdana pt10, and they are readable. But the app instructions specifically call for atleast pt 11. Shud i stick to the app instructions or go with my aesthetic sense. Pt 11 Verdana makes me feel as if i am visually challenged (its just too big and ugly)

I am more scared than excited. Considering the fact that I am applying to W and Chi in R2, both really tough schools to get into, I need an acceptance from Ross very badly.

Dear XXX,

The Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan is pleased to announce that we will post admissions decisions online for the fall 2008 (November 1, 2007 application deadline) MBA term. Since you applied online, you can take advantage of this feature to obtain your decision online. Decisions will be available online effective 12:01 a.m. (Eastern Daylight Time) on January 15, 2008.

To obtain your decision, simply log on to the site where you completed your application using the same login information that you used when you submitted your application. Instructions will be displayed on how to proceed from there. It’s that simple.

My R2: W K Chicago. All of us are in the same boat

If I dont get in Ross or Duke (my R1 schools), I really do not fancy my chances at any of my R2 schools :s

On admissions411, the application volume for R1 seems low in comparison to R1 volume last year (64 versus 97). Do a lot of people register after decisions are out? Any thoughts?

I talked with a second year a few days ago in one of the coffee chats. She reads applications for the Midwest if i remember correctly. She said that the application volume was up by around 20% this year in R1

Admissions411 is a terrible at predicting volume. Only a fraction of people use it and thats going to change from year to year based on people finding the site. I would say its probably a little skewed towards successful applications too, its admit rates are higher than published but still give a good idea. It is helpful with time frames for decisions, demographics, and stuff like that.

A quickie -
My UG GPA system was on a scale of 10. I do not see that option in the application form and the inspector throws an error if I leave the field blank!

Did any of you face the same issue? If so, what did you guys do??
