I have not officially decided to apply but one of my fellow managers went to Michigan and has almost convinced me to apply. From everything I have read they have pretty decent placement in IB. Not sure how good they are for real estate IB though. 710 GMAT 3.6 GPA blah, blah, blah...we are all great in our own ways. Need advice

What should I put for "Total Months Employed" in the current company? Is it till date or till the enrollment at Ross?
In "Total number of months employed full time", I have put till enrollment. But need advice for current company? Will it be same?

I have two questions:

1. I submitted everything last night and all of my recommendations have been submitted. On their website they claim that everything has to be received by today at 5pm and that they will send an email confirming receipt. Do I have to receive the email today for them to consider my application for round 2?

2. For total months employed and months at current employment I put total months to date, 37, and not total months at matriculation, 45. Does this make a big difference? My employment history isnt that long but does it even matter?

JDMBA, upon submission (November 01,2007), I received an e-mail from "Embarkonline" confirming the application submission and the payment. On November 2nd, I received the following mail from UMich:
We have received your application, and look forward to reviewing it.

Thank you for your interest in the Ross School of Business!

Ross School of Business

I was then invited to interview on 11/09 and then received the following mail on 11/15:
This email is to notify you that your application to the Ross School of Business is complete, and is currently under review by our Admissions Committee. There is no further action required of you at this time.
We will reach out to you via email approximately two weeks prior to our January 15th notification date with specifics on how to access your admission decision.
We appreciate your interest in the Ross School of Business and look forward to reviewing your application!

Yeah! I don't know why that was, but there were four other GMATClubbers who got the interview invite that early. I guess we'll wait and see if getting invited early is a good thing.

I submitted my app today at 12:30, and the confirm page just bombed. I re-logged in n my app shows as submitted. I havent received any email confirming the same. Did anyone receive an email immediately after submitting the app?

Amazing stat: Total of 19 applicants to Ross in R1 and R2. Of which 14 are Indians or Indian origin. WOW- Ross is popular among Desi's!!!

I think more than a popularity contest...it is one of the highest ranked elites that Indian IT guys have a realistic chance of getting in. People talk about fit and other aspects when looking at schools. But for our application pool we do not have that luxury. We are happy to take whatever we get - I dont think we have the luxury of being particular about location, teaching style or culture. Most of us may not openly agree but what matters in the end is reputation, career prospects and alumni strength.
