Don't rush your GMAT prep. You have plenty of time. Most R1 deadline is in Late Sept to Mid October if I remember correctly.

I think its just HBS; they did the same thing last year, if I recall correctly. The other schools should be releasing their questions around the same time that they did last year.

I am planning to apply to HBS, Stanford, Wharton, Kellogg, Chicago and MIT this summer...

I am from Latin America, working at top 4 consulting firm with 6 years WE in other industries as an analyst. Also non-profit entrepreneur, I started my own think tank with a group of peers.

Regarding school visits. is it worth it to travel all the way from South America to the US, go both to east and west coast (stanford only) just for a quick visit? I could do mostly for free using frequent traveler miles, but not sure about the impact in the final decision. However, I really want to show interest in my top 3 choices to the adcom

Any tips on this?

bsd_lover, thanks for pointing me to this thread. It's got tons of useful info. One question I didn't see addressed is whether it is advisable to use, in the current application essays, some of the work/life experiences mentioned in the previous years' essays? Would be most grateful for your insight on this.

I am doing both in order to keep a bookmark to remind me where the last updated/cutoff pt was.

Hi Steppenwolf, perhaps this question is more appropriate to the zero admits thread. In brief - it depends. You may choose to use the same information, but provide more depth (e.g. a story in which you might have just touched upon last year). Also bear in mind that some schools will keep your last year's essays, but some wont (I think HBS doesnt). So oviously if the school has thrown out your past essays you may be able to reuse last years content more freely (those schools usually make your rewrite the entire essay set). However do still think primarily in terms of improvements and progression when writing reapplications.
