I know it may be a little early in the game, but has anyone else started preparing their application? This means visiting the school, talking to CBS ambassadors, drafting the essay, etc. And good luck everyone!

congrats novian and eminent! I am just starting the process and you guys are already done! what kind of examples did you include for columbia essays? professional or personal? All my essays talk about my professional experiences...I am not able to paint a complete picture of my candidacy. I looked at EC section of the application and we have only 400 characters Any suggestions anybody?

Thank you everyone for the kind wishes. I hope to see plenty more admits this season! cozmo8: The extracurricular section is difficult. I only listed my ECs there, with no descriptions. As far as essays, I used professional examples for #1 and #2 and a personal one for #3 (this was on last year's app, this year, I only had to submit 1 essay as a reapplicant). I really think that you can use a personal or EC example for essay #2 or #3 -- you will just have to be creative and make it fit in.
