What are your thoughts on the "18-day window" that was proposed before? Is there a direct correlation between going complete earlier and getting an invite earlier or for example were there people who went complete relatively early and got invites later on?

Complete guess:
When the application is complete, it has probably been verified for completeness. It is then sent to a designated essay reader (alumni, current student, admissions officer). These reviewers have 14 days from when they receive the application to when they must submit their review. Then, a second reviewer (most likely on the adcom) reads the feedback and decides whether an interview is appropriate.

Like many have proposed before, I think the process is mostly random. There is a weak, at best, correlation between complete date and interview invite date. Didn't invites only start coming out last week? Using my poor memory to look back on R1, I feel like by the second week of invites, there were still loads more invites to come. So, just relax, and don't start to worry until the final week (I didn't get my invite until the last possible day!).
Is anyone enterprising enough to look earlier in this thread to figure out the distribution of R1 invites broken down by week? R2 may not follow the same pattern, but we can't help but try to use the past to predict how these things will play out, right?
