I had an alumni interview on 12th March. I have update UNC that I have completed my interview through mail. But, I have not received any confirmation mail from UNC / adcom that they have updated my records. I am also not able to see any update regarding same in online application.

What about other R3 applicants who have been interviewed? What does your status read? Did you get confirmation from UNC / adcom that they have updated your record or received necessary credentials from interviewer?

Also, how does UNC send decision - mail / call ?

Hey Alpesh. I too have the same query. Does the adcom intimate or update the MY UNC portal.

the unc finance numbers should be up this year. almost every first-year student going after ib landed somewhere for the summer. also, remember the number of students interested in ib at unc is going to be much smaller than other schools. summer internship placements included morgan stanley, barcap, bofa-ml, ubs, lazard, wells, and many boutiques.

These numbers are encouraging. But i would take it with a grain of salt. Did these companies recruit internationals. Can anyone throw some light?. Secondly I was a bit concerned with a employment percentage at graduation which was 71% similar to Ross. Might it was an aberration.

Ross graduates students in mid April, which is earlier than most schools, so it's hard to take the employment rate at face value because it's not an apples to apples comparison. I'm not sure if that's the case for UNC but I suspect it might be

UNC will call out exceptional applicants (also ones receiving felloships/scholarships) a few days prior to the deadline, but the rest will receive an email from Sherry Wallace titled "UNC Kenan-Flagler Decision" on the actual deadline. A few people in R1 reported delays in the emails and were able to see their status on the website first.

So the decision will be already in the email, right? Most schools sent an email just telling you that your status was updated and asking you to look at the website.

I'm almost sure I remeber some people on this thread reporting their decisions on sunday night. Do you think it's possible for this round?

Well, yes you are correct, some people reported their decisions on sunday night. When I was waiting on the decision in R2 I remember I looked at the times that they sent the notification emails from the earlier round. I am in Europe and it was interesting to find out that the emails were sent at 3 am my time. History repeated itself and R2 decisions were also sent at 3am so I technically saw mine after waking up on the day of the deadline. Asian applicants did the same. However, US folks I believe were able to see theirs Sunday evening. So, yes depending on your location and time zone, you might be able to find out on Sunday.

My decision was in the email.

So no call before the online decision means no "major" (i.e. >10k) scholarship, right? And I'm guessing getting the in-state waiver probably requires one prior year domicile?
