Just got my admit to UNC today and now I guess I have a decision to make... UNC with no scholorship, or Washington university in st. Louis with a 50% scholarship? Any advice? Or opinions?

I got waitlisted too

Looking at the statistics only 12 % waitlist are accepted. That sucks!

How to apply for a student loan which doesn't require a co-singer. I am admitted to Kenan Flager and I am an international student. Does someone apply for such a loan?

I am currently on waitlist and trying to figure out my chances of getting in.

I know there is data which shows only 12% get in but it does not make sense to me. Total seats are 270, why would Kenan Flagler keep 349 on waitlist and admit 44 form that waitlist?

Anyone who was on wailist and was accepted for R-1 and R-2?

"Students who are awarded fellowships will be notified on Monday, March 28."

Yield management. Around 10-15% waitlist admit is pretty common across all schools. Personally, I see the WL as an immediate ding. Probably best to prepare for the admits you do have and if a minor miracle happens down the line, it happens.

Yup it is by email and is only sent to people who receive a scholarship. If you don't get an email next Monday, it is a fair assumption that you didn't receive any money.

I would disagree with you skeechero. I did NOT receive an email yet in the official letter in the mail I was offered $$. A lot of people that receive financial aid do not actually accept the UNC offer. As a result, this money becomes available to everyone but at a later date. You could definately be offered money even if you don't receive an email on March 28.

At this point in the admission cycle, I think you probably have a good idea of where you stand in terms of the spectrum of schools you applied to. So if you think you're close, you can try to send updates. I don't know if UNC welcomes updates from the WLed, being a lower ranked school I would assume they do, but reinforcing your acceptance of a potential offer along with spinning any new career developments in a positive light is probably the way to go.

I don't know if UNC welcomes updates from the WLed, being a lower ranked school I would assume they do

Kudos to you- I did not know that lower ranked schools like UNC accept updates from WLed applicants. I was thinking more like, this top school X is ranked 16th so lets not send these guys a piece of note about a group of nuns that I have recently saved from a fire.

Hi I was interviewed for round 2 around the last week of jan'11 and was waitlisted for the R2(results out on 07th Feb) I have been accepted off the waitlist during the r3 results release.
