So no love yet for Indians from Booth?

MBADude, are you an Indian based out of India or a brit? I see CA in your alias.

On second thought, CA could stand for so many things, including California. Basically, I'm going nuts trying to figure out if any Indian from India has received an interview invite yet. Booth, please come to my rescue quickly....

Your second thought was correct...California. People are right though- definitely not time to panic. There's a full two weeks left in the invite window. Be patient- good news is on the way!

@all Indians in India

Please relax and wait for your invites :) Many of you would get them in the days to come.

It is incorrect that all Indians in rd1 got invites together. Rd1 had about 10 days in total for the interview intimation (from 2-11 Nov I think). I received my invite on the 2nd day. I know of two more people atleast, one of whom got an invite in the mid-period while the other got the interview mail on the last/2nd last day. Also, all three of us have been admitted!

What I am trying to say is that please don't be perturbed about the day of invite. It is completely random and definitely not the way it is being speculated. There is nothing like "all Indians will be sent invites together".

Please pm me if there are any specific queries.

Warm regards,
Sam

Thanks Sam! That's good to know. I was getting too worried over this 'one day thing'.

Hey all non-invites, just want to post another confirmation that you don't need to worry:
https://www.mba-channel.com/blogs/articl ... ion-myths/

See myth number 6: "The process of inviting applicants to interview is entirely random, and the point at which you hear from us is not a reflection on the strength of your application or the timeframe in which you submitted it."

It's easy to read into these things but there is REALLY no rhyme or reason to the order and if you get an invite on the last day it doesn't mean you are a 'marginal' candidate.

Good luck to all still waiting and take a deep breath until 10am tomorrow.

Hi guys,

Good luck to everyone who is still waiting for interview invites.

I just had my interview for Booth in Beijing. My interviewer was an alum who has been very active in the club out here. He was friendly and professional. I think it would be inappropriate to post the exact questions, but there were no weird curve balls. He kept the tone conversational. After asking me a series of questions, he told me about his background and experiences at Booth (and in the alumni club since then).

He played his feelings pretty close to the vest, so I am not sure how he felt about me. I was very impressed with him, though, and am definitely grateful that Booth is so conscientious in preparing their alumni interviewers.

I hope to read more good news from people on this forum soon.

best of luck

I agree, General.

All quite on the Chicago front, it seems. What time do invites go out?

Typically it has been right after 9:00am CST, though it looks like in R1 it was as late as around noon for the first wave of the day... This whole process is just rife with uncertainty...

Torture? Torture is the Sloan process. I applied in October and am still waiting for the interview invite (although I am pretty sure I'll get a ding) which could come out simply at any time until the decision date. Imagine having to wait for almost 4 months! If I didn't get my Haas admission, I'd have freaked out a long time ago.

Contrary to other schools' admission processes, in which hoping for a last minute invite is very unrealistic (Stanford, Columbia, Sloan, etc.), I can attest that with Chicago timing really doesn't mean anything.

I was invited more less in the middle of the invite release cycle for R1 and ended up being admitted with $$$$.

So chill out!
