No Indian from India yet who has got the invite? To those who have any idea, any more emails expected today?

I doubt if anyone knows that. We all wouldn't be so curious if the exact schedule is known :)

I believe someone posted the schedule a couple of pages back for the R1 interview invites that went out. R1 had 2 waves most days but the invites were sent over a shorter duration (1 week) as compared to R2, so wouldn't think there would be 2 waves.

I'm from India too...haven't heard back yet...the wait is killing me! :)
Worst part...I'm expecting to hear from 2-3 different schools and all of them started giving out interview invites but I haven't received 1 yet! Bah!

No luck either, but I applied the last day. I noticed Wharton is sending out invites to Intl applicants first. Does the same hold true for the Booth folks on this board?

I don't think that submission date correlates to when you get your invite. I submitted about 10 minutes before the deadline and am a US applicant. Received my invite on Wednesday. Also Wharton is not sending invites to international applicants first. A few US applicants have reported receiving Wharton invites. And remember nothing can be extrapolated from the sample size of GC and BTG. It's way too small. The order of invitations is random.

It's still very early in a relatively long window for both schools. There's no way to guess when your invite will come, so better to simply be patient and try not to worry til later.

I support this assertion.

I applied well over a month before the R1 deadline (probably earlier than all of the other R1 applicants on this forum), yet I received my invitation somewhere in the middle of the timeline when they all went out.

There are no alumni in my city (not at all surprising given where I live), so the Booth adcom gave me the choice of setting up a Skype call with someone at admissions or picking a new city and trying to find a match there. Is there any substantive difference between the two options?

It does not matter from a review perspective, but from the standpoint of making your decision to spend $100,000 + and 2 years of your life at Booth, visiting on campus is always a good thing if you can afford it. That way you can attend a class and see the state of the art facilities first hand and see if Booth really is somewhere you want to be. They actual plan a series of optional activities for those interviewing in Hyde Park.

FWIW, all Chicagoland residents (withing 60 miles of the city) are required to interview on campus.

Doesn't Booth also offer an admit day for admitted students to learn more about the program? So perhaps one could interview off-campus and then make the trek to Chicago for admit day?
