it seems some people received invites today! anyone can confirm those rumors... does booth send invites on a daily basis or once a week.

Today? It's still 7:35am in Chicago, so I find it unlikely. Maybe in a few hours their might be invites though. Maybe those reporting invites today were from yesterday's wave.

Anyone know if the R1 invites (or R2 invites from last year) came in weekly waves, or did they trickle in every day? I just want to know if I should be checking my e-mail compulsively every five minutes from now until Feb 15.

Good luck to all the Chosen Ones!

Go back a few pages. You'll see where the announcements start. Invite emails went out around 2:10 PM EST yesterday.

If you look a few pages back, you will see that for R1, they tickled everyday expect for saturday and sunday, sometimes with 2 waves per day. Howevr, they had only 1 week of invites, as opposed to 3 weeks for rd 2. More applicants in rd 2 though, so who knows how this will work.

Fellas: I just got an invite! Status changed around 10am EST. After reading blogs like Cheetarah's, I seriously thought I wouldn't get an invite because my profile was too vanilla and ho-hum. Totally stoked here.

Don't lose hope. Like everyone says, it doesn't matter when you get an invitation.

Dude, I read profiles like yours and think I don't measure up. There's nothing fudge swirl with rainbow sprinkles about my profile. But if my blog can fool smart people like you into thinking there is then maybe my essays can pull the same jedi mind trick on the adcom.

And congratulations! I knew you'd get your invite. You da man!

Adcom didn't read my application in 2 minutes, determine that I am the Queen of Awesome, and decide that I should be one of a select few to receive this "special" notice).

Hmmmm are you sure? Queen of Awesome is a fairly excellent title.

Looks like we've got a bunch of reverse self - serving bias going on.

A self-serving bias occurs when people attribute their successes to internal or personal factors but attribute their failures to situational factors beyond their control. (Thanks, Wikipedia!)

AKA If I am invited in first round I believe it is random, if I am not invited in first round I believe I have done something wrong.

I've not received my invite (yet) but I am choosing to remain calm and congratulate those who have - not because I'm holier-than-thou but because I cannot possibly sustain an anxiety level 10 from today until 3/28 when my last school releases decisions.

Best of luck to all!

No luck here either. I know there is a lot of time between now and the cut-off, so still hoping.

Interesting, my GMAT score in the application still shows that it hasnt been received. I sent it to the school when I took the test in December, so I can't imagine what the problem is. Hopefully that isnt holding up my application.

It's not. Mine still shows an X and states "awaiting" and I got an interview invite today.

What about your overall status? Was it still "Submitted" before the invite?

Not sure. I know everything was checked completed/ submitted except my GMAT.

I have just received an interview invite as well, at 10:08am EST!

Does anyone know Booth's acceptance rate for interviewed candidates? There is no information of what % of candidates they interview in the school's BW profile...

Booth invites about 40% of applicants to interview. Roughly 50% of interviewed candidates are accepted, netting a 21-22% acceptance rate overall.

more applicants in R2? are you sure? looking at the dataset from the gmat club, 189 applicants in R1 vs. 112 in R2...seems like less in R2 even with a considerable sampling error
