I am sorry, but I think that we all who havent receive the call, we wll have to wait for the email tomorrow with the denied or the waitlist
WHY? It's currently 11:47am in Chicago... plenty of time for them to make hundreds more calls.
I lived this same process in R1. Admissions probably have called 90% of the R2 applicants by now, including R1 waitlisted. In that opportunity they put me on the waitlist and all the applicants knew they were admitted by mid day. Among admissions officers and second year students, they are much more than 10 people... thay are like 30-40 people who call from 8:00am. At 10mins/call, in 4 hours they have called 960 people.

There is WAY too much melodrama on this board folks. Look back to RD 1 and to last year and see that admit calls came out throughout the day, into the late afternoon. Seriously stop feeling sorry for yourself and just wait for the call to come or not come.

No need to create speculative controversy/drama - it does nothing for anyone. It's not even humorous enough to kid about. It's only 12pm CST, and plenty of people from round 1 were getting calls from 3:30pm onward. They've called few if any from the Northeast US, which I'm sure is a large percentage of the applicant pool (and where we'd expect invites).

If they admit 600 in this round (estimate), and each call takes 10 min (5 min call, 5 min in-between calls), then a staff of 10 people can make 60 calls per hour, that is 10 hours total to end the process. Add an hour for lunch, which means we should expect calls up till 8 pm Chicago time. Seems too late? what do you guys think?

There's no use in trying to calculate how many calls they will make in an hour and when the calls will stop. Maybe they have meetings during the day and will stop making calls for a while... it's anyone's guess. I got my call at 4:30 PM in round 1.

Everyone - try to keep your chin up and remember to keep breathing. We're rooting for you!

Hey all you admits, here's some more good news - Booth's ranking just went up to #4 from #5 for the newest 2013 US News Rankings.

accepted! West Coast.

I got scholarship $$ too but forgot to ask whether it was for each year or in total. Anyone know which is usually the case?

I think I just got in. I got a call from someone in the admissions office, but my phone is new and I accidentally hung up on him. Hopefully it was good news. Anywho, it seems they are still making calls, so keep hope alive.

Why is everyone freaking out? I thought they notified everyone on March 21, 2012?? At least that's what it says on their website.

They give out the yearly sum. Maximum is 30k per year.

Admits are called a day in advance generally. Rejections/waitlist are on March 21st
