Hi All, was surprised to find out I got off the Booth waitlist today... I have already accepted at Haas. I'm torn between hi-tech and finance so we'll see if I change my mind!

No more calls - tomorrow at 9am CST we should all get a status update showing admit, deny, or WL. There have been reports of a few admits who didn't get a phone call but were accepted via status update or e-mail. This, however, is quite rare.

For those of you who end up on the WL - keep your chin up, I'm sure summer melt will result in tons of spots open at Booth! (Edit: I am one of the R2 waitlisters who has benefited from said melt!)

Best of luck!

I was wondering what C2F meant when he said that he was an alum of one of the three schools he was waitlisted at! Cat's out of the bag now.

I'm an alum of one of the schools I applied to as well, but not Chicago.

Dinged today. My first - I'm very sad but I prefer the clear cut on a summer of miseries in the WL.
I decided not to take one the other offers I have, because they are not good enough for me when I compare them to the school I really want (Booth).
I will probably re-apply next year on first round. I will be happy to talk to re-applicants that were accepted or others that consider applying again !

Good luck to all the admitted students, it is a great school and I am really happy for you !

Leon - You're not alone. There's a thread for Waitlisters here:

@All the R3 admits : Congrats guys! You've no idea how we Wait-listed folks would love to be in your position!

Can any of the aforementioned new-admits please post how many students have been admitted into Booth Class of 2014 yet? And how many have paid up their first deposits yet? I believe you can access this info. on the Booth portal ?

Thanks, just looking for a miracle!

You can't really get an accurate estimate from the student directory. R3 and R1/R2 WL admits may be in the portal but it's impossible to know how many will pay the deposit as it is not due for several more weeks. Also R1 and R2 admits that have paid deposits may forfeit them if they get admittance to a school they prefer. The directory will look like the class is oversubscribed which it may not be.

For what it's worth -- looks like 50-60 students were admitted in R3, as measured by the increase in the number of students in the directory versus earlier in the week.

But, Cheetarah is correct -- you can't really draw any conclusions at this point about the ultimate make-up of the class.

Hi guys,
Sorry, its been a long time since I was on the net. Stuck with work, as usual. My congrats to all the r3 admits.

Hey Cheetarah,
Good to know that you have homed on to Booth!! The 'Kellogg Thread master' tag appears as a downer though! ;)

C2F,
Congratulations ...... Amazing to find so many of the forum members being accepted at Booth. It almost feels as if Booth knows who all we want as friends in the school and is making sure that the best and the most friendly, accommodating, optimist and team-workers are selected! :)

Sam
