I submitted my application over the weekend and saw that Monday the status was updated that is was being printed for review. I applied regular decision though not early decision so should I be expecting to wait until they've made it through all the ED folks before starting on my application?

Yes. I believe they don't start reviewing RD till december or there abouts.

According to the CBS website, ED apps are reviewed and decisions made before RD apps. In practice, I'm not sure.

I went under review on Monday and now I am starting to get the bug waiting. I do not freak out every time I get an e-mail, but whenever I see a new post in this thread. I just want to see some action from the ad com in terms of interview invites and accepts.

Hi everyone! I submitted my application on Sunday, got under review yesterday. Checking my email and phone every 10 min... ridiculous, as they are probably receiving tones of application right now...

One of my recommender asked me if I could use his personal email. Now that I think about it, maybe I shoudl have insisted to use his professional email. I would not want the AdCom to beleive I might have faked one of my recommendation!!!! What do you think? I hope they would try to call him or something in case they have a doubt instead of just rejecting my application...

I would not worry to much about the personal v professional e-mail. I am sure several recommenders prefer using their personal e-mail for these types of things.

Does anyone have an idea of what is the split ED/RD in the total applicant pool every year? is it more of a 50/50 or 40/60?

Nobody heard anything today? No dings/admits? Last year there were decisions made right before and after the deadline....

I think my phone is mocking me.... :(

I would be surprised if it wasn't closer to 20/80 in the total applicant pool. The accepted pool it is probably a high percentage but I would have a hard time believing 50% or even 40% of applicants were willing to make the ED commitment every year.

Wow, that sounds agonizing! What a tease to get a phone call from an adcom for something like that.

Status change: Now officially under review.

I didn't know this was a separate update from "being printed for review," my heart was racing. When I saw the email about the status change I was thinking "wow they dinged me that quickly"

::fingers crossed::

Has anyone who applied around (or after) mid-September heard from the adcom? Interview calls, dings, anything?

Just got a call from an unknown number. At 11:47am. I jumped up out of my chair, ran outside the trading floor to take the call. Only to find out it was my uncle.

^^^ that's epic winning right there, charlie sheen would be proud!

Hang in there guys & gals.. the admit calls are coming... regarding %.. probably 20/80 like mentioned. problem is, even with a 6k deposit, when you consider cost of attendance and all the other factors, it's not that much money if you walk away after paying it

LOL! I know the feeling, hang in there!

I even started to keep my phone with me at the gym that final week. I had it on vibrate + ring!

How long have you been complete?
