Really reread your essay though... you'll find you can cut a lot of crap out... changing your sentence structure can often help you shed 3-5 words in a lot of areas that adds up.
If you have a very low GPA it's very useful to form an alternate transcript with quant/biz classes on it to submit. I went ahead and did this and seems to have worked well for me

Yeah i did make one with a few classes via UCLA extension. I got all As in them so I'm hoping it helps mitigate my UG performance a bit
I'm a current Columbia MBA student and I made this video to help potential applicants. Please check it out and you can use the Youtube comments section to ask questions to real students.
awesome video. There's so much talk of a lack of class cohesiveness, but everything I've seen as been to the contrary. I've yet to meet a student or alum who didn't LOVE CBS.
Guys, I am just curious what if one of my recoomenders sumbit the letter AFTER the early decision deadline?! Would my application be placed in regular round?

As per me Yes. That is what most schools say - all materials, including recommendations, should be in by the deadline. HBS is an exception as they require 3 recommendations and start reading applications even if they have 2, but won't invite you to an interview if you don't submit the 3rd 'in time'.
Now i get to panic every time i get an email notification. Signing off. I guess I'll be be talking to you guys in a couple of weeks, hopefully it'll be good news. Good luck all.
so im jumping the gun a LITTLE with this but if im accepted im going to start setting up pre-MBA happy hours events dinners etc idk if any of you cook or are into food or wine but im a huge foodie... i have an '01 barolo magnum that im going to probably open closer to start time
Short, I'm only gonna be there in July unfortunately, but I love to cook. If there's anything left of that magnum I could def whip up something that'll do justice to the Barolo
Week 2 since complete begins!!! I hope the waiting ends today with good news!!!
Short ur interview is today, right? Good luck!!!!

ED... Did they just take a break on admitting people until after the deadline? It could be that after a certain point they want to see the entire ED pool before making decisions, I guess.
I feel for you though. I finished on 9/24 and I couldn't imagine waiting 3 weeks without a response.
