Just got a call from an unknown number. At 11:47am. I jumped up out of my chair, ran outside the trading floor to take the call. Only to find out it was my uncle.

Well the real bummer would have been if your uncle called to inform you had been admitted to Columbia ED and you never knew he was in the adcom at school. But am pretty sure thats the worst that could have happened - which means you will def get in, just a waiting game. Hang in there )+:) all the best

HAHA if he were a member there, I would be a whole lot more relaxed than I am now.. Was a nice phone call, don't get me wrong - but why couldn't he just have called from his cell ?:P

I went complete last monday, had my interview last saturday...

Nothing my man, nothing. I'm starting to cramp up real badly at work too - I've started thinking about two things... quitting, and how muc money i could save before school starts by scaling down drinking and taking it easy and still having my job... need the admit!

The school is probably missing something they need for you application such as transcripts or gmat scores. I would make sure you submitted everything and had an official gmat score sent over. If you are not sure, you may want to call and see what is missing. The deadline for ED is tomorrow and you would not want to fall out if you can help it.

Many on this forum had this issue (you can read a few pages back) and it typically resolved in a day or two. Nothing for you to do but be patience, something many of us (me in particular, obviously) currently lack.

re: the phone call, i had one last year when i was waitlisted that asked why not the exec mba vs full time and why columbia -- i kind of mucked my essays last year but i also heard a friend of a friend (okay, a girl i met at a booth event lol) got the same call and it was because she never went to any events or showed up on campus which was true for me as well


is anyone going to Spotlight:Finance on thursday?

Would recommend checking with them, ideally by calling early morning today. Thumb rule is, if deadline TIME not mentioned, assume it to be 11:59PM on the deadline day, per local time zone
