I think you can find all the types you want to find in any top MBA program. When I visited Tuck, it certainly wasn't hippie-ville, and when I went to Columbia, it certainly wasn't quant-central.

One guy at Tuck, and this guy was a Columbian international student representative at our lunch, did remark that the hot girls were few and far between.. I thought that was humorous - at the same time it shows how open and honest that society is. cons and pros, respectively... :)

I guess we'll wait and see a few more days.. I wish they would just publish the decisions online on a pre-determined day....

Fudge.. get it right.. please. I said, in a prior post which can be referenced, I want "some of the attractive (10% of female population so only about 3-4% of entire class) females in my cluster/class". What's wrong with that? Do you want to be the "princess" (thanks for that verbiage) amongst a bunch of subpar guys... or wouldn't you rather there be at least a few "lookers" if your stuck working with these people in close quarters for hours on end during the first semester :P. Point proven, enroll in same cluster as me, thanks! NEXT!

Point taken, I want the lookers in my cluster too.. hahaha..

You guys are hilarious! You don't know WHERE you are in the application cycle. Remember that interviews can be initiated at any point so although your status is complete your application may not have been fully reviewed. At least give them a couple of weeks before you start jumping out of your skin expecting an answer. In the words of Dwayne Wayne, "Relax, Relate, Release!"

but if we've learned anything from college, dont you NOT want to hook up with anyone on your dorm floor.. and thus your cluster? so wouldnt you want them to be in other clusters but have other people in your cluster befriend everyone else?! :P

on a side note, one of my current coworkers is an underwear model (male) so when he has his stuff published we buy tons of the magazines and rip out his ad and coat his desk with the ad haha tape them on all around

if i get accepted im going to start trying to become an 'early hermes advisor' and start setting up c/o 2014 happy hours.. i social chair everything im involved with lol

At 27 versus 18-21 during UG... and we're not dorming because we'll all be littered across the city.. I'll take them in my cluster :P. FYI, short.. that's a great idea. I was actually thinking about it yesterday. We should at least get the gmatclub members who are CBS admits... around late July/Early August before orientation... set up a bunch of happy hours while none of us are working and have no classes yet... especially since a good chunk aren't living in city right now.

Ha I'm good with coming in a month... just a short train ride unless I feel like paying the 12 dollar tolls (wtf).

I was thinking of something around 80-110th / broadway or amsterdam. That way it's not far to campus and still some activity. Ideally something in the 90's would be great

yeah im trying to weigh things out and decide what i want and all.. i have a really (not to brag ;p) nice set up right now by columbus circle like i said but its 3500 a month for both me and room mate and gonna go up in a year.. there are some co ops right by columbia i had looked at that're 1050 sq ft or so and have a private balcony (if youve been around columbia's campus im sure youve seen them, theyre at 123 or so) that are relatively reasonable and i had thought of maybe getting one of those and renting 2nd bedroom out to another CBSer.

Well, if you get in let me know and we can chat about if offline. I'm definitely looking for a 2BR (reasonably priced) to split with another CBS'r or Columbia grad student. Can't really deal with random people, don't want to deal with undergrads, and the price isn't lending way to renting a 1br by myself with no income and mitigating my debt vs savings.

From the looks of this forum, seems like interview invites/completions/decisions have come to screeching halt this week. C'mon CBS... I need to hear some good news so I can keep my hopes up high.
