you need to pick an interviewer, email him/her to schedule an interview, then only once it's confirmed, update it on the system. The school will then provide your interviewer with an interview report form which they fill out after your interview (you won't see this step). Once they submit it, you are deemed "complete" :-D

I think it depends on what you're interested in. I'm interested in consulting, and I wanted to find out more about the alumni network, the value of CBS in Asia, etc, so I picked an older alum (1976 grad) based in SE Asia who's worked in consulting all over the world, and whose 3 kids all are CBS grads. There were other younger alums, but I chose the one who best met what I was trying to learn about CBS.

Maybe you should figure out what you want to find out/ask about CBS and try and google the available interviewers to see who would best be able to answer them your questions.

My $0.03 (inflation adjusted) :P

Congrats guys.

It will be a crapshoot regardless. I just picked a name, you can choose from 9 people.

Here's to another day of waiting!

I would certainly try and find your prospective interviewers on Linkedin, or at the very least google their names, prior to e-mailing them. You might be able to find someone with similar interests or in a similar industry.

My interviewer was just on the cover of a local monthly magazine and had a 6 page article written about her. So I had a pretty big advantage in knowing a TON about her background prior to the interview. This allowed me to infuse my answers with anecdotes that expressed what I knew to be shared interests!

I kind of lucked out in that sense and it was very cool to interview with such an accomplished alum. But despite all of that, it was still quite an intense interview!

Just a question gents, and ladies, what does your status say verbatim? Mine says Interview Complete. Is that not the same as application complete? I'm starting to think this forum isn't a healthy place to hang around while waiting :)

It would say Interview Complete. :)

It probably isn't, but who else would understand the obsession?

lol, i wondered the same thing.

Interview complete = application complete! Along with the 'interview complete' status update, you should receive an e-mail that specifically states that you're application is complete.

But 'interview complete' is the final status change before your admit/decline/waitlisted

Picking your interviewer is just as important as prepping for GMAT really... a bad choice and you're going to watch that score plummet. Google / LinkedIn the people you see pop up and get an idea for their background to ensure you "may" have talking points outside the interview and have questions that will seem genuine. I selected a mid-70's alum also who coincidentally is an adjunct professor where I did my undergrad... so needless to say we had some things to talk about and just "BS" about. I think that helps build a relationship quickly... and if I need to explain why that's important... you should apply elsewhere :D

I've only received a notice that my app status has changed, and that it now says

You're fine man.. "interview complete" is the final step before decision is rendered... now just hope it doesn't say Denied or Deferred lol. Even when you're admitted it just says "interview complete" but below says a decision has been rendered and you cna click it to see your welcome letter (before it arrives with luggage tag in mail)
