hopefully not - although if you were WL at wharton - hopefully you get into Haas. I know the CA schools really spread out the notification.

it's tomorrow the 19th (per my ucla person)

Has anyone been able to find out exact date of CGSM membership/fellowship decisions? We know it is mid march but it's already the 18th and paranoia is starting to build at an exponential rate!!!! :)

Thanks for that Angelfire... I wonder if the absence of news from the individual schools implies bad news is on its way...hopefully this isn't the case!

just got a call - in at USC. missed the call though - so she said nothing about money.... she DID say they would mail out a package that i should get next week. Also, she said they would need official GMAT since i applied through CGSM - that doesn't seem right... anyone else get that?

She didn't mention GMAT scores to me, although my phone did break up and I didn't hear everything she said. The adcom only mentioned sending official transcripts.

For the USC folks, is Kellee making the calls? I felt like I had a strong interview with her, but I am so on the edge since I haven't gotten a call yet. :?

I got a phone call from Elaine in the admissions office. I'm sure they're just a little behind on calls. However, USC has very few CGSM folks every year (no more than 14), so I imagine they'll be done calling Consortium applicants by the end of the week.

I got the message from Kellee directly and I interviewed with a student.

A voice mail message, or an email from Kellee? I haven't received any email from Marshall at all, but I hope it's coming down the pipeline within the next week or so.

angelfire213 yes! Talked to admissions office yesterday. This year they are starting one week earlier than last year. Mandatory orientation is July 20-24th. Classes start that next Monday July 27th!

That is suuuuper early. The international students start even earlier, the week before Orientation. Welp...there goes that extra month of work (re: income) I was hoping to pocket before school starts. lol

just completed my Fafsa (am i sadistic for including NYU in the list of schools?) - was MUCH easier than i remember in college ....maybe b/c we don't need to put in our parent's info? Anyway, if you're still waiting - kill some time and get that out of the way.

sidenote - to those that are applying to the PG brand management camp - make sure your brain is fully functional before you take the reasoning test. I thought i could knock it out of the way in the morning before i headed to work. my brain was not fully awake and i was pressed for time - so yea, i don't think i'll be moving on with that. do some logic quizzes to prep and warm up your brain.

Same thing happened to me. I did it a month ago and have heard nothing. So I'm clearly out. It started out so easy then it wasn't lol

Angelfire, do you mind giving us a better idea of what logic games or stuff to go over?

WL at USC for me... it came in a cold, cold email this evening :( My dreams of sunny LA are on hold and I'm both excited for and jealous of all others who have Cali as an option. :-)

Ok... here are my CGSM results for those looking for insight in the future:

Ranked #1: Goizueta (Emory) 1YR - ADMIT with full tuition CGSM fellowship. Also admitted with ~50% tuition scholarship to the 2YR program (was listed as my second choice for my overall Goizueta application)

Ranked #2: Marshall (USC) - WAITLIST

Ranked #3: Kenan-Flagler (UNC) - ADMIT (no funding)

WHAT I DID: I really tapped into the Goizueta network, attended like all of their events (I live in ATL), and really made sure each adcom member knew me and my story very well. I didn't visit Marshall or Kenan-Flagler at all - not even for an interview (I opted for Skype interviews for both of them given my travel schedule for work). I did have a hard time being genuine in my "Why Marshall/Kenan-Flagler" answers during the interview - I think they picked up on that... :-/ I had a hard time with the rankings and was worried about how they would be used in making admissions decisions, but ultimately ranked Goizueta #1 because I felt my stats and story lined up the best with them and I genuinely enjoyed my interactions with them. I decided very late to apply to b-school, so I wasn't even sure I'd get in anywhere and actually applied to MLT this year as well thinking I would need to re-apply next year - so I held my MTL offer in my back pocket for a while until decisions started flowing in. I also worked with a consultant (mbaover30.com) - Lawrence really helped me tell my story in a compelling way through my essays which was even more important for me given my low GMAT - my resume is also pretty killer now thanks to his cut-throat feedback and direction. Overall, I am just so surprised and feel incredibly blessed with how everything turned out.

Hopefully this is helpful as others navigate the CGSM process in future years. I know I was looking everywhere for tips when I started my process a few months ago. Best of luck!

great story - you might want to share in the "low gmat" thread as well - i'm sure some of those folks will be inspired and see that gmat is not the end all.
