Thanks for the detailed insight. It confirms a lot of what was going on in my head. And yes i do understand that this is quite normal in general.
Ive been mindful to be appreciative and polite and definitely not pushy. I understand that being pushy would be detrimental.
The follow ups are always with an intention to pass on information in a developing situation. So yeah, have one interview for now which I am focussing on, and can only hope the second one comes through soon.

Hi sidby good luck for your interview! I am sure you are going to ace it.
Alex beautifully captured the essence of the alumni interview concept! The whole interview process is through volunteers and as such you may expect delays in the replies.
For me, the communication was always through email, so I can not comment much about their response to text messages.
However, when I emailed my interviewers for an interview schedule, I did mention the deadline by which I needed to finish up the interview round (I am sure your AO must have mentioned the date by which you have to finish the interview round). It does not hurt to inform them about your deadline, so that they are also aware of it. Once the interviews are over, the alumni need to send a report to the school, by rating the interview process and you.
I hope you can sort out the second interview soon!
