Nowhere does it say maximum 5. I think it was a guideline to apply to at most 5. I could be wrong. I don’t have time to even submit 2 or 3 lol how are you submitting more than 5 is commendable.
I may also submit for 2-3 only. I am also confused because after submitting the personal and financial details, there are hardly any scholarships shown in the list.

Can anyone help me to understand why.

Because I see some other scholarships which are applicable for Asia but are still not showing in the list

From what I understand and based on what others have discussed here, the data you input in the personal and financial data for example salary, budget table and location etc. will affect the list of scholarships you are eligible for and those that are available after some that may have been already allocated for Round 1 candidates. Most scholarships especially one that are not group scholarships, are awarded to one candidate in every intake. So I would assume a lot of them may have been allocated in Round 1.

I entered 1 everywhere just to see what the next step is. So not sure how much my financial info affected it.
But I am a little concerned with such limited choices.

Best to input as close to real numbers as possible and then check. Even for me the list was quite small and a lot of them not relevant to my profile/background even though I was eligible. My only guess is most of the scholarships have already been awarded in R1.

Hi guys, what was your reading of the interview?

Was the interviewer’s reactions tough to read or did s/he explicitly say that you will be endorsed?

Mine was a mixed bagger. One alum said he will endorse me. The second alum said nothing.

I’d say i was pretty much in the same boat as you. Both interviewers are senior folk in their respective companies from my line of work, and heavily involved in cross questioning my future goals. One interview went swimmingly well and we talked for over 2 and a half hours almost. The second interview felt a lot more polished and strict as the first one was done at a cafe and the second online, so i couldn’t gauge whether she was happy with me or what her idea of me was

For me, I had a good chat with both of my interviewers but non said explicitly that they ll endorse me, neither did I asked.
I think if they did not say explicitly doesn’t mean you are not in. If your interview went good, it should be fine

Sometimes it doesnt work out even if interviewers endorse applicants, Sometimes, you get accepted after seemingly average interviews. So applicants, don’t count yourself out until you hear back from adcom members.

What to expect in an interview with someone really senior in your industry of pivot after Masters? Do I expect a lot of technical questions?
I have had one interview with a recent alum from a different industry and the questions were mostly around Why INSEAD? Why now? and wanted to gauge my passion about my short and long term goals.

I had both my interviews with alumni in my industry only. One of them did not ask any technical ques but second one asked few.
So would suggest to prepare 1 or 2 technical anecdotes. I believe they don’t grill on technical so worst case scenario, if you make them feel confident with 1 anecdote that you have command over your industry, they should not ask much.
Saying it from personal experience but pls take your decision basis your research

Only the financial needs group scholarships asked for documents for uploading such as bank statements of your own account and that of earners in family and Salary slip of the latest month.

In all others at least I did not have to upload any documents but just the essays. Good luck!

Thanks a ton 🙏

And one more questions, can we still change personal and financial details after submission of any of the scholarships?

Hey everyone, wishing all R2 applicants the best of luck! I am switching gears a bit here as I am curious about the work visa (both internship and full-time roles) situation.

Is there a challenge in obtaining visa to intern in UK/SG/HK? Does choice of home campus affect the odds for finding offers for internship in these 3 locations?

If someone spends just 4 months in SG (as one moved to Fonty after P2), will that person get a sort of post study work permit in SG i.e. can one stay in SG post INSEAD MBA without secured a job first?

Thanks!

So I technically submitted all the scholarships I was able to and you can view them in the view status tab. Also I pressed submit in the personal details page also but it seems you can edit everything including scholarship details and budget up until the deadline. It is a time based submissions where all applications will be submitted once deadline passes rather than us having to press anything and officially submit. (this is my understanding of the application)

After talking to a few alumni, I don't think even if you spend all the months in SG INSEAD MBA program gives out the post study visa of 1 year that other universities in SG give such as NUS or NTU. I am not sure if the policy has changed and I could be wrong but that is my understanding. Working in HK, the visa rules are much more relaxed but consulting roles as international (without knowing cantonese) is basically impossible. Banks hire a lot in HK. I think the only place to get a visa post INSEAD would be France campus for the EU region. I would not count on SG as a possible location for a job if you are not SG PR, that is just my take on the situation, they prefer locals with PR so SG people at INSEAD will be preferred way more. Other locations in Asia such as HK, Malaysia or even Australia can be a good shout I feel. I do not know of a single Indian from INSEAD who was not PR before that got a job in SG through sponsored visa lol. But that could be a limitation of my network rather than the truth so Linkedin could be a good place to do this research. Finally for UK, post-brexit, it is much more flexible to get talent form outside EU so chances are better I think but you would be competing with LBS and other UK schools such as OxBridge, Imperial, Kings etc. They have a lot of legacy Unis there and post-brexit local talent usually stays in UK as they don't get the EU visa anymore. Good luck!
