I must say I had no clue what the yellow ribbon program was until you brought it up. I will have to check for you and get back to you on this.
As for vets, some of my closest friends at Haas are vets, so I'll also ping them to see what sort of advice they would give you in terms of "Why should a vet pick Haas if he/she can get drastically reduced tuition elsewhere?".
For Vet (US) presence, it's roughly around 2%, so ~5 people per class. They are trying to increase the numbers and some vets have formed the Vet Club last year, so there is attention directed in that area.

Thanks, Kryzak. Yeah it's a little hard to ignore especially when UCLA Anderson is offering $8600 as part of the program (with the government matching dollar for dollar). I liked Haas when I visited, but with schools such as Kellogg, Booth, and Wharton offering $10,000 (total package $20,000 per year), I don't see much incentive to apply to Haas.

I remember one of the Student Ambassadors from my visit mentioning that the Vet club just got started last year. Nice to hear that there's interest in that group for admissions. Despite the whole reduced tuition comparison, the smaller class size at Haas is keeping me interested. In that aspect, Yale and Tuck are tempting too, but much colder in the winter!
