I would definitely guess that the waitlist this year is going to be pretty difficult to make it in from b/c of the record #'s of applications.

Best of luck to you and if you reapply with me next year :)

No interview from Stanford!

Just goes to show that we're not just our gmat scores, as much as I might wish it otherwise ;)

Have been looking at the prev. waitlist chats and they most recently said they take 10 to 30 percent of the waitlist on average over the last five years. But I see that in 2006 it was 50%, then in 07 it was 40% (or something like that) so maybe it's declining! Welcome confirmation/speculation on this point but I'm going to email my third LOR writer now....

Did you receive an interview from Stanford?

Congrats on the 780 GMAT...can't believe you were waitlisted with a score like that.

ARRRRG. Waitlist with interview! My spouse (aka mba application assistant) says he saw something about taking 50 people from a list of 450 last year. That's not giving me the warm and fuzzy... what do y'all think? Anyone heard some stats on this?

My confidence hasn't taken too much of a hit because I am a bit non-traditional, but I am wondering what I'll do next. The only other school I applied to is Stanford so...

Maybe I'll see you on the boards next year 8-)

I think the bottom line is that the toughest year in over a decade to apply has led to some amazingly credentialed rejections.

On that note, I think we can always improve upon something and better ourselves in some way or another :)

On waitlist stats - from the round 1 waitlist chat in January, admissions said historically it's been anywhere from 25% to 50% but varies from year to year.

Zero shot R2 waitlists have a 50% shot in this year unfortunately.

I'd say the %'s are more 10-30%

I've also been doing some research to understand what percentage of waitlisted applicants will receive an offer for admission. The percentages are all over the place. Pre-2007, the figures I've seen quoted are between 25-50%, while in last year's waitlist chat, the quoted range significantly dropped:

Should be interesting to hear the AdCom's thoughts at this Friday's online chat regarding the percentage they expect to take from the waitlist this year.

Also rejected...not optimistic about my Stanford waitlist spot from R1, so looks like no California for me!

Hello everyone,

Congrats to all the admits!
I have a question though for lauren or othe admits: I will not be able to make it to the Days @ Hass at the beginning of april (since it would imply quitting my job and I cant do it just yet, unfortunately need a few extra months salary before I am a student again), but I think i read that there is another one at the end of april...However there is no option to register for that one: do you know if it s only for R3 admits?

Thanks!

You can add me to the roll call for R3. Still haven't heard a thing besides application under review.

Have to schedule an interview in India. Anyone else from India on the waitlist?

Kryzak - Is there any blog or post which has waitlist strategy for Haas?

There is another Days at Haas at the end of April. Lauren can confirm the dates, but you will probably need to talk to the admissions office to get an exception to attend that one (which shouldn't be a problem).

I think there are some blogs or chats floating out there for waitlisted students, I would do a search on the admissions website or other blogs. The information they give you on the waitlist email is actually pretty good too. Two key points (in my mind): Ace the interview (if you haven't interviewed yet), and get amazing extra recs. But those are just my own speculations.

Indian R1 Waitlisted applicant here.

However, I was offered an interview prior to being on the waitlist. Hoping good news comes in next week.

Does anyone know if/when the Super Saturday date would be for R3? I haven't received any news on an interview, but as I'm flying cross country, I will need to plan if I do receive an invite.

Thanks!

There is no Super Saturday for R3. Best of luck.
