Is there anyway to avoid the first message of this forum from showing up as the first post of each page? Not a big deal, just makes it a little harder to navigate.

(p.s. I clicked on the page 11 link roughly 32 times before I realized I was on the page, it just looked like page 1. And I have no idea why I just wrote this.)

I forgot it had been setup that way. It should only be on the first page now.

The average is 5 years, but 2-3 years can be sufficient. As is the case with all application questions: it depends :)

I'm doing a campus visit on Nov 9th. For those that have previously visited, any suggestions on hotels, commute to campus, etc? I saw another post suggesting a hotel close to the airport and taking the BART so probably will end up doing that. Or may just end up getting a rental.

Hey redjam, I'm going to be doing my visit on the same day. What have you signed up for? I have lunch with a student at noon, an info session at 1, and a marketing management class from 2-4. Any overlap?

Don't rent a car. Parking on campus is a hassle. I visited the campus in September, and the BART station is probably 1 mile away from campus, which I ended up walking. I stayed with friends so can't give you any recs, but I can only say renting a car will be a huge hassle.

I haven't, but I just checked and my status was also updated to "Application Under Review". There's also a note about needing official transcripts from my schools if I'm invited to interview.

The trip is Stanford is time consuming.. (took me about 1.5hours from Downtown Berkeley). I took the BART to Union City, then the DB Express (bus) to Palo Alto. Luckily the DB Express has WiFi on board :-D

I think you can take the Caltrain from Millbrae. This might be quicker but I'm not sure.

Remember to pick up some gear from both schools!

I have more pics if you want..

Yeah, I was thinking of getting a hotel where there's a BART and Caltrain stop - which will situate me close to the airport as well.

Lol - love the gear! I wonder which set you'll be wearing at the end of the application process. :)

I just visited both schools last week. I was staying downtown San Francisco. For Berkeley, just took the BART and then cabbed it to the school from the station, it was only about $6 and i was raining so I didn't want to walk, plus they dropped me off right in front of the business school entrance. For Stanford, on the way going there, I took a bus to the San Francisco Cal Train stop, then rode to Palo Alto, the train took about an hour and there are free shuttles to Stanford that pick you up right from the Cal Train station. On the way coming home, I took Cal Train to the Milbrae stop and took the BART back to the hotel from there. The way home probably took a bit longer, but not much and I preferred it to having to figure which bus to take home. Our hotel was right by a BART stop, so for me it was easier.

There is, but it really sucks. I can't overstate this. If you're going on a weekday, I would get there at LEAST 45 minutes in advance, because it's pretty hard to find a spot, and there's lots of street traffic. Bring crisp $1 and $5 bills for the crappy parking machines, and still plan on walking a lot. I did this on a non-football game Saturday, and it was still bad! I went the following Monday and took BART - it was a much more pleasant experience. I walked from the BART station, but you can also take a cab if you're in heels.

Mine says "received" Not sure what the difference is? I was also wondering if anyone knew if reapps get interview invites as well. I was r2 last year, interviewed, waitlisted till mid August....so super long wait. Hopefully no waiting this time around.
