I wonder -why Booth and Hbs have similar application system/portal? Furthermore, they have exactly the same questions for recommenders.

A number of top schools are using the same recommender prompts, in addition to Booth and HBS. IMO, its a positive development.

I used chrome. faced no troubles.
I submitted my GMAT score in July 2014. Couldn't complete my application during R1 so applying in R2. But still my GMAT status is "Awaiting". I don't think they verify it until the final decisions are made. So no need to worry much. :)

Mine says "Payment received" and then the date I sent it (1/3/15). Maybe give them a call or maybe your bank has it as pending or something

Alrightalrightalright! In for R2.

Also since it is a topic of discussion....my application status shows that they are still awaiting my GMAT report. Pearson VUE should have sent Booth my score report when I took the test back in August (I listed them as one of my five schools when I took the GMAT). It does say in two different locations on the final submission page that it can take up to 4 weeks for Booth to review these score reports and match them to your application, so I'd guess calling the admissions office about it is a bad idea at this point (especially since today is a deadline day, they are probably super busy).

I just submitted and the same thing is happening to me.
I'm not stressing about it, probably just takes a while for them to process it in their system.

Guys, I have not sent my GMAT and TOEFL scores to Booth yet and i have just submitted my application. The login page shows "APPLICATION SUBMITTED: 01/06/2015" but at the same time "GMAT Score Report" and "TOEFL Score Report" are marked as Awaited.

Can I send the score reports now for the school to consider my application. Or is it even needed right now since many of you are saying that they do not check it for a month or so?

Any thoughts/suggestions?

Just paid to send both the reports to Booth. I didn't like it. Wharton does not demand for official reports until offer of admission. But Booth's mail says "Please note that we are unable to evaluate an application for admission if any required material or information is missing. Applications that are incomplete will automatically be moved to the next round of applications."

From the screen you see immediately after submitting your application:

"Unverified GMAT Scores: Chicago Booth only requires verified GMAT scores at the time of admission. If your score is currently unverified in the system, you may still submit your application and we move forward with the evaluation process. If you have already sent your score to Chicago Booth, there is no need to resend it. Should we require additional information from you, we will contact you directly."

Perhaps I am misinterpreting, but "time of admission" does not equal "time of application."

Yeah, that's what I too understand. Don't need to send the official report right now.

Also quoting from the website..

"GMAT test scores are self-reported via the online application for the initial review of your materials. (Note: Self-reported scores are considered unofficial.) Your official scores are required if you are admitted to the MBA program. "

What date range we lookin at for interview invites? Wharton e-mailed yesterday about sending them out on Feb. 11 (March 24 final decision). So for a March 26 final decision, shall we expect a mid-Feb. invite?

FROM The Booth Experience: Excel Monkey Decides To Switch It Up
But I Thought I Was Going to be a Portfolio Manager: Becoming a Successful Career Switcher in Business School One of the biggest pros to coming to business school is the opportunity, so rarely found in “real life,” to break into fields that are difficult to enter from another industry or function area. The degree … Continue reading Excel Monkey Decides To Switch It Up →
