when did you take your GMAT? In any case, Booth accepts self-reported scores during the selection process

I took it in US. I did not upload the unofficial GMAT report and that is my concern.

This is prompted by you but not directed at you. Guys, i know we are all stressed and slightly paro right now but think about this.

You call admissions more than once about something you think is a problem. Each time they tell you it is fine.
Not satisfied with the answer(s) you received. you come to a board full of people who are NOT admissions to see if it is a problem.

The problem in this case is your mind! lol.

Folks, try to relax... or at least limit the crazy to the board and NOT admissions. I doubt they take notes, but it's probably not a good impression to call multiple times about the same issue....

I swear, we are all like prepubecent teens. "He said he likes me but does he really?"

Ok, I'm done.

PS. I'm not saying I haven't been there...but i'm working really hard on limiting the crazytalk.

Plus, the more people who bug admissions, the slower the process of reviewing applications.

(Not to say that no one should contact admissions - if you have a serious issue, by all means, reach out.)

I've read on multiple occasions that you should behave like you've been here before. They don't like when candidates are (like angelfire noted) like needy significant others. Do the leg work, of course, but after that, don't go crazy following up. They note this kind of stuff and if you become a handful, don't expect any further consideration.

A famous philosopher once said something like, "don't put [it] on a pedestal." What the "it" was in this case seems to be evading me at the moment...

Well, calm down, too much generalization... I agree that calling admissions twice about the same issue is too much... in fact, calling them when you can email about an not-so-urgent issue is unnecessary

in the example of the GMAT, you could read the admission website and not find an answer to why it says "Waiting" or whether that is a problem... so reaching out once is warranted... for all you know, you application could be trashed for lack of GMAT report, though that is not the case.

I don´t know what you mean by "behave like you've been here before", but this is not first day of high school.... bear in mind, it is also good to show interest by reaching out with questions... the process is complex enough that if you go through it without one single question, you probably didn´t get it.

You dnt want to become a "handful" or a "prepubecent teen chasing a high school boy", but you also dnt want to put the quality of your application at risk for being aloof and disinterested.

I said "when".

I dnt recall if you could upload a report or only input the scores... either way, did you input your scores into the online application?

EDIT: Deleted because I'd just rather not argue semantics.

I took it in August and did input my scores. So everything should be fine. Thank you for actually answering the question here.

Everybody just calms down. Contacting the Admission Officer is not the end of the world.

Hey everyone, what's your status of "GMAT Report"? Mine is showing "Awaiting" and that really worries me. But I called the Adm couple times, and they said it's perfectly fine. Is anyone else having the same problem? Thank you!!

The Booth application status page says the following for applications that have been submitted:

"A status of "Awaiting" does not necessarily mean that we have not received your materials; we may have received them but may not yet have matched them to your application. Because we do not process materials until after the application deadline, materials that were submitted separately before the deadline (such as test scores) may not appear as having been received until after the deadline."

Further...

"Unverified GMAT Scores: Chicago Booth only requires verified GMAT scores at the time of admission. If your score is currently unverified in the system, you may still submit your application and we move forward with the evaluation process. If you have already sent your score to Chicago Booth, there is no need to resend it. Should we require additional information from you, we will contact you directly."

So, no worries, they will let you know if they need anything.

Good luck to all!

Quick question..... My application status still says "submitted". Does anyone else still say that or have it changed to under review (or something like that). I'm kind of worried.

I just got an interview invite too!! :) I am from India..

Any round 1 people around know which cities the interviewers are likely to be in?

Hey...Congrats..Can you please share your profile?

I got a 720 on GMAT (took it only once). I have 4.5yrs of strong developer experience with a top software product company. I have moderately strong extra-curriculars.

And i submitted a ppt for the essay which i was fairly happy with.. I am not targeting booth for finance but instead for strategy or general mgmt..

I wish you guys all the very best!! seems like bulk of the invites are yet to go out..

just in case anyone is in the same predicament. I got the invite a couple of days ago - picked a dc saturday location. and thought i was done. today i logged in to check something in an essay i wrote - and saw a notice that said - action required.

I had to go in and select a time!

I did NOT receive an email for this. so maybe when i selected the day there was a next step for time - but it wasn't obvious to me. So in case you have picked your day - but not time - go in and select it. there were very limited time slots when i checked.
