Congrats guys! I got an invite as well! :)

None of the interview dates in hub cities work for me, any advices regarding off-campus interviews? Interviewing on campus would be 30 hour commute for me.

Thanks.

What is a 30 hour commute? Why wouldn't you fly?

Dinged. (2nd ding in a week, HBS and now Booth)

Hurts as I thought I had a good chance. Worrying about all my R1 Applications because I've not applied to any real safeties.

Don't give up yet, there's still a chance that you'll get in to at least one of your other schools. Good luck.

Anyone going to the Shanghai session? I selected Shanghai but the dates are grayed out (unavailable/filled). Not sure if its filled or that the exact time slots haven't been determined yet.

Congratulations to all of you! Everyone put a lot of effort to craft those applications!

For those who got the invite, it's almost over! Do your best!

For those who got a ding, I feel you! I was heartbroken a few days ago with a ding too. But keep strong! Good things will come your way!

A good weekend to everyone.

In Guatemala now on a pro-bono consulting engagement with spotty internet reception, but wanted to update this group given the extent of my earlier participation to this thread.

received an invite Thurs, will be attending the entrepreneurship symposium, will be interviewing on-campus, and will be replacing the f5 key on my keyboard in time for Wharton's 10/31 date :-D

I was thinking that or that they haven't finalized the time slots yet. Were you able to get a time slot at Shanghai? I'm slightly panicking no

Question for interview prep

What other schools are you applying to?

Do you think Wharton and Columbia are comparable to Booth in terms of prestige, yield? I honestly know plenty of people who chose Booth over each of these schools but I wonder if they could be somewhat 'threatened' by these schools as opposed to lower ranked schools (eg. NYU, LBS) as alternative choices during the interview.

Any thoughts?

Cheers!

I picked the Shanghai session - appears to have limited spots left. Sunday is pretty much filled up and I had to go with Saturday instead

I would not hesitate personally to tell Booth who the 'competition' is for me because I think my fit is pretty strong with their curriculum. Something sold you on Booth when you started your app process. Review what that was and you will get your inspiration back on how to answer the question. Booth has a lot of areas where it is differentiated from other top programs.
