Applied in RD earlier this week. Still shows the message that "[My] application is now being printed and prepared for review."

Oh well, I don't plan on hearing any decisions from Columbia until January at the earliest, so I'm going to go work on other apps in the meantime and try not worry about it.

Don't sweat it. Columbia reviews in the order they were received. A few of us submitted back in October. Last year, when the RD review start date was January 6, applicants who submitted in early January went under review after only a few weeks. It seems that Columbia moves through them pretty fast

Same here...Indian applicant, submitted in Oct 2nd week, and then went "Incomplete"

Still awaiting my TOEFL score, and did not hear anything in between.

Can anybody say whether my application will be reviewed according to when I submitted it, or when it goes complete (not before 10Dec)?

any one who faced the toefl issue thereby late completion? has anyone heard back? i am wondering whether the app is still in ED or pushed to RD for novemeber completion at my end.

Mine went complete on 23 oct because of TOEFL issue. There has been no action thereafter. I am hopeful they will reply in couple of weeks.

long time lurker, add me to the list of ED applicants. Had my interview on Thurs, 12/2 and waiting to hear. Is the consensus that admits are hearing back within days of their interview?

Also, I got curious and noticed the Facebook group "Columbia Business School Class of 2010" already has 46 members, for whatever that's worth.

Of course, we're class of 2013! We join in 2011, graduate two years later... in 2013! The Class of 2010 applied in 2007, joined 2008 and are hopefully employed now. That's an old group or one that has many confused people.

I completed my interview on Friday (12/3). It went really well. Very conversational. Interviewer did a lot of the talking and we developed a great rapport. I had a lot of the typical questions: why MBA, why now, why CBS, career path, etc. He asked me about my age (2.5 years of WE) and how I'd react to people older than me. We both are connected with the auto industry so we talked about that a bit.

Overall I think it went really well -- I'm starting to allow myself to get excited about the idea of joining Columbia Business School Class of 2013!

Last year Columbia did not start reviewing RD applicants until 1/6. This year, that was pushed up to December.

That's correct. We started off pretty slow, but in the last 2-3 weeks, there have been several requests.

Long time listener, first time caller

I applied ED and was interviewed on 11/13. My status went complete on 12/3 but have not yet heard back from CBS. I'm driving myself crazy with anticipation, as I believe I'm sort of an 'on the fence' candidate given my strong work exp but low GPA, avg. GMAT.

Does anyone know what % of ED applicants are interviewed? And how many interviewed are admitted? I'm sure there are no hard and fast rules, but any idea in general if an interview gives you a 50% chance or whatever?

Accepted: ~50% of interviewees
Overall: ~16% of applicants (same admit rates for ED as for RD + J-Term)

I think the numbers are a little worse this year, because it seems like app numbers have risen - not substantially.

Sorry to hear that, I was deferred as well.

Of all the people who were deferred, has anyone seen any movement?

I have a feeling that majority of those deferred will end up on the waitlist.

Applied RD earlier last week; checked my online application status today, and it says that I'm under review now. Columbia seems to be moving pretty quickly to review RD applicants now. Wonder when we'll start hearing decisions back for RD applicants.

I was admitted to CBS about two weeks ago. I noticed some students on the facebook page already have CBS as one of their "networks" on FB. This leads me to believe they have columbia email addresses all ready.

When/how do you get your columbia email address? Sorry to post on this forum. There is no admit forum yet.
