I had my interview 11/04, but it only went complete until 11/15.

My stats:
International/reapp/gmat: 710/gpa: 4.0 (top local school)/WE 6yrs S&T/strong extracurriculars.

I am hoping mine is also a convert. International too, 740 gmat, 5 years WE in management consulting..had my interview on 22nd nov, went complete on 24th..keeping my fingers crossed !!!!

Just went on the application website to check my status and found out that I got an interview invite!!

I submitted on Oct. 6 minutes before the deadline, went under review on Oct. 19.

So I will repeat what many have already said: there is still hope for ED applicants who submitted late.

I will probably make more people check their status frantically by saying this, but I haven't received an email (yet), so it is not totally useless to go on the applyyourself website...

Just check the status, I was deferred. So sad...not sure what I can do now...they said they will give me a notification before Feb 1st

Interview invite 5/11
Interview - 18/11
Complete - 23/11
Accepted - 02/12!

It took a while before I was invited for an interview so all those who are having a hard time waiting for the answer and are frantically checking their status, hang in there, I was sure I was going to get dinged.

I got in late September, and I didn't find this guide until last night, so this may be of help to those still applying.
You'll find that the most critical piece of the app (assuming you don't bomb the GMAT) is your likelihood of getting a job determines your likelihood of getting in. Put it this way, I was interviewed by adcom, and during the interview, the admissions officer said things like "you clearly know what you want to do" and "you clearly know why Columbia". It wasn't a coincidence that I got in three days later.

Make your stories crystal clear and you're golden.

Well that is good to hear from you. How specific should one get has always been an issue to consider for me.

For CBS even though your experiences make sense, but do you still think that someone should be as specific as "I want to become a VP of XYZ investment in a company such as A, B" or would you rather be "I want to get leadership role in a medium sized company in X area"?

The way I look at it is - Adcom really knows that goals change regardless of how specific they are for each candidate. Wouldn't specifying your goals in a much more detailed way work against your candidacy, because adcom may judge as "Oh this guy knows what he wants, then why doesn't he go get it. Why does he need an MBA now?"

I know there are arguments on both sides. But just my thoughts and concerns.

Advise/Opinions?
