Today is exactly 9 weeks following the 10/6/2010 deadline for Early Decision and there seems to be a lot of activity (albeit mostly dings) coming from adcom...I wonder if this is a sign

just means that in general the RD applicant profiles are more attractive in general compared to the 'bottom of the barrel' ED apps

Hi all, I was also ED, interview complete last wk, waiting for decisions....

I was asked by my current employer to head up a large project in our India office for 3 months. This is not a promotion but pretty large, impressive responsibility for me. Does something like this warrant a call to CBS with a career update? Please advise, I"m not sure but am desperate for anything to boost my app!!

Have never posted before, but have been reading the forum for a while. Just wanted to say that I got the acceptance call for ED today! Below are my dates:

Submitted: 10/6/10
Under Review: 10/18/10
Interview: 11/22/10
Interview Complete: 12/1/10
Accepted: 12/8/10

Got the call today also! I'm an ED applicant.

Basic Stats: F / 25 / Asian American / 730 GMAT / 3.3 GPA / career is in trading

I was just notified that I've been deferred from ED to the regular round

Is this better than a flat out denial or is everyone deferred? What do people do to help boost their apps for the regular round? I'm SO upset...

Not everyone is deferred. If you look up a few posts you'll see quite a few dings, so I would feel lucky

That being said, I've heard being accepted after being deferred is quite difficult

Just did some "back of the napkin" calculations: the average GMAT for the admitted ED group as set forth in the spreadsheet on the first page is 730 (rounded from 729). Looks like this year may be especially tough...
