Good stuff, hazay. Wish you all the best :P

If hazay lives in Europe, then I guess zero invite for ED in U.S. so far.

Yeah, maybe U.S. really starts on August. If so, chance of not having to start other schools' app seems kinda slim given that 8-9 weeks is the margin between August and the deadlines.

Hmmm + Damn.

if the invite date is really August or later, I think CBS should go back to its original cycle. As other posters have said, there's absolutely no reason to open up the application two months prior to just invitation.

Yeah, maybe U.S. really starts on August.

GMAT Club CBS applicants represented 2% of the CBS applicant pool last year. I think it s rather difficult to guesstimate anything from such a tiny sample.

A longer ED round means that CBS can take way more time (to play with us  ) to decide on our applications.

Once you made the first application, things seems to go much faster.

Previous experience, career goal, why mba, why now, leadership, achievements, failure.... the core is really the same

True that GC represents a minute percentage but no action on BW forum either. If things were to happen, there would be some signals here or there.

For me, ED is like getting a full-time job after summer internship - you dont' have to worry about it when others are scrambling things. Being able to get a decision before starting others' app would be the most attractive part but if I get acceptance on 10/1/10, I would still be happy but also need lotta Bacardi 151 to justify efforts and time spent on others' essays.

But FYI, I still love CBS, if adcom is watching over GC secretly :-D

Agree, they can take more time deliberating upon our applications. Noticeably, they didn't give any guaranty that within a certain period of time, they will get back to you. So I assume, that means it takes as long as it takes.

Is anybody applying to the J-Term? Is it similarly as bad to apply later in the process for that term as the September entry? I was waitlisted then rejected from the September 2010 entry and was thinking about submitting for the J-Term in the next week or two. Do you think that is late and will hurt my chances? Thanks.

my consultant has a good writeup of CBS interview stuff on his blog: https://adam-markus.blogspot.com/2009/10 ... lumni.html
good luck and if you could post details of the interview when you're done (please), we'd all really appreciate it :-D
Very hepful,thank you.
The interview was very interesting. Mostly focused on my resume as I anticipated. 90 minutes long.
I am now waiting for the ITW report to be sent to CBS (should receive an update of my status when it s done I think), quite a painful step as well during the application.

Congrats hazay, now let's hope you get an early feedback (I'm still waiting for mine, European applicant as well...)

Given that (i) they've carved out the feedback deadline previously indicated in 12 weeks for ED-RD and 8 weeks for J-Term and (ii) that I'm actually a J-term applicant whom submitted on May 21st and got under review on June 1st I think it make sense to conclude that they are waiting to see some movement in the application before they make a decision, so I think you're still on time.
