How do the invites arrrive? E-mail to check your status?

I submitted 12/8, last recc. received 12/21, wasn't put UR until 1/4

Whoa, that is quick! Anytime now then...

But this year, people submitting on 1/4 and 1/5 have only just in the past couple of days gone under review. Those going under review around 1/10-1/11 submitted late December (me being one of them, so now I can start stressing out even more if I don't hear from them next week).

true. and good point. i suppose the "under review" date is more important than the submit date. i had the same submit date as my example, but i just went under review on wednesday.

both threads have many examples of people being "under review" for long periods of time without hearing anything... only to get an invite and an acceptance. but, i understand your stress!

I applied on 1/3 and my last recommendation was sent on 1/5. When I log in, it just says "Submission Status: Submitted". It seems like most people's statuses are "Being Prepared" or "Under Review". Does anyone have a similar status or maybe I'm looking in the wrong place???

How was it?! Sad I didn't know about it before seeing the posts here.

It was nice. We had breakfast with some students, and then there were two speakers, both fairly entertaining. Then Mary announced the good news for some recently interviewed girls right then and there! The lucky ones got to go on stage and personally greet her and everything!!

Was pretty awesome except I felt bad for the ones who weren't called up....

Me too! I'm surprised we didn't find each other. I asked about 5 women in the lobby if they were meeting up for the GMAT Club lunch but to no avail. Oh well! I loved the event, though.

Yeah - I still haven't submitted my application, much less an interview, so I wasn't expecting to see my name flash - but wow! Mary is so dynamic. It did feel like a game show.

I was there as well. But as I said before , wasn't able to stay after. I was one of the admits so it was super exciting to find out that way! Hopefully I'll meet some of you at admitted students day..... At some point, we might want to exchange real names
