They don't have the 8 week timeline anymore.

The timeline is extremely broad. If you go on CBS' website and visit the FAQ, you'll find that it says most applications will take between 8-12 weeks. However, it then says the application may take longer than that, leaving you under the impression that it will take....as long as CBS wants it to until the day that results come out...

I feel timeline doesn't really matter anymore for those who haven't submitted yet. Yes. J-term gets reviewewd early but even hazay heard 3 weeks later. 3 weeks from this week is like 3rd week of August - That's too tight to not hedge.

Most of us plan to apply at least 4 more schools (excluding CBS), and as we all experienced, doing quality 4 apps in 2 months won't be easy. Unless you are CBS-or-go-home, you need to hedge by starting on other apps. Thus, rather than trying to see if I can hear the decision soon enough, I am just gonna start on other apps and submit my CBS app when I feel is ready, including going to that admission event :P

I second chostein's comment. At this point, there's really no telling when the decisions are going to come out, either for interviews or for final decisions. Unless you're gun-ho about CBS, it's best to start writing some essays for the other schools that you plan to apply to. Most of the essay topics have been published, and can be found on GC or on school's websites. Start doing research on generic topics, such as "why school X", as pretty much any school will directly (or indirectly) ask you to supplement your essays with reasons to go to their schools.

Nice. Congrats.

I was so worried lest I did something terrible wrong in my application. Well, false alarm. I think it's true that they give out invites in any one of the three stages. In my case, it's very likely that the committee has already read my stuff and my invite is sent by them. Let's see.

Good :-D

Stop over thinking things (for US applicants, in my case....) , clear you mind, make a great ITW and relax . You re almost there.

Yeah you really need to relax

Congrats lawgonebusiness. I've seen your profile. I had no doubt you will get an invitation :P

Now the battle on U.S. begins. As far as I remember, lawgonebusiness submitted like 2 days after the essays came out. Very excited to see this thread in coming months and to make speculations as well :-D

Who else hasn't submitted in ED (other than myself)?
